Battle Through the Heavens was my first donghua and also my first novel, and because of that it holds a very special place in my heart. Still, as a fan, I often imagined a different path—one where family emotions play a stronger role, where bonds, loss, and protection become as important as power itself. This idea is not meant to change Xiao Yan or deny the original story. Instead, it is a personal re-imagining inspired by my own thoughts and feelings as a reader.
