In the heart of Saitama Prefecture, Tokyo, Kota Sutaki endures a monotonous life as a 34-year-old salaryman at Harada Interactive, a powerful video game corporation. Despite the company’s prestige, Kota finds little satisfaction in his job and is weighed down by the corporate grind. His only solace is his loving family: his spirited 6-year-old daughter, Yuki, and his supportive wife, Sugu.
Every Saturday night, Kota finds temporary relief from his dreary routine by gathering with his childhood friends, Toma Raki and Jin Loka. Over drinks, they reminisce about better times and discuss the increasing number of bizarre incidents making the news—strange behavior, violent attacks, and unexplainable phenomena.
As tensions rise at work and in the community, Kota’s unease grows. Rumors of people walking strangely, being shot but continuing to move, and attacking others become more frequent and alarming. Despite Toma’s urging for Kota to quit his stressful job, Kota feels trapped by his responsibilities and the need to provide for his daughter.
When the undead apocalypse reaches Tokyo, Kota’s world is thrown into chaos. He must navigate the treacherous streets, battling hordes of walkers and confronting the collapse of society. Alongside his family and friends, Kota embarks on a harrowing journey to survive, uncovering connections to the broader events of the Walking Dead universe.
