Making a Dead Game Exciting

Everyone in the game Rotting with Dawn was either an idiot or slowly becoming one, if done right this would be an interesting development but there was a small problem. They all get unsavory development then die an unsavory death.
When all of the characters took their downfall even the loyalist of fans went as far as dropping the game calling it a piece of trash that should be 6 feet underground.
As someone who heard all of this taking place and still played it on a whim... It fucked up my mental state but I couldn't help but want to see it off to the end.
When the last update arrived I was going to click it finally ending the obsession once and for all.
Unfortunately I didn't even get to see the update as I started coughing up blood and died.
