"Your name"
"Your Name" follows the extraordinary connection between Mitsuha Miyamizu, a high school girl from the rural town of Itomori, and Taki Tachibana, a teenage boy living in bustling Tokyo. Strangely and inexplicably, they begin to swap bodies intermittently, experiencing each other’s lives and leaving messages to navigate the chaos. Through this surreal phenomenon, they learn about each other’s worlds, fears, and dreams, growing closer without ever meeting. As a comet approaches, threatening to destroy Itomori, the body swaps stop, and Taki discovers that Mitsuha had died in a past disaster. Driven by memory and determination, he follows clues to the Miyamizu shrine, drinks a sacred offering, and meets Mitsuha during twilight, where time briefly bends to allow their reunion. Mitsuha returns to the past, warns the town, and prevents the disaster, saving countless lives. Years later, they live separate lives haunted by the absence of the other, until fate reunites them in Tokyo, where they finally recognize each other and the invisible thread connecting their lives holds them together.
