Long before the memory of kingdoms, the world ended.
A nameless war burned the earth until nothing living remained. When life returned, it did so without remembrance, building new orders atop the ruins of an extinction it could no longer name.

As trade collapses and unrest spreads, a ruling council quietly removes a king in the name of stability. There is no trial, no spectacle, no public reckoning. Records are altered. Knowledge is destroyed. Order returns just enough for people to accept the change.
Those caught inside the transition are not heroes. A scholar dies so his work can be erased. A king is executed to prevent disorder. His daughter leaves not to rebel, but to avoid being decided for. Others learn that distance, loyalty, and silence offer no protection when power requires removal.
The Quiet Blade is a dark fantasy of institutional violence and controlled truth, where systems outlive people, authority functions without malice, and survival carries no promise of meaning. In a world that no longer remembers its own end, power does not rage or gloat.
