The Bartender of the Monster Dungeon

heilowknight
The heroes return to the guild covered in blood, glory… and regrets. Lian only hands them the form. Reincarnated in a world of magic and dungeons, he didn’t receive a legendary sword or a special talent. He only got a job: the night shift at the dungeon entrance. While the world sleeps, he works. He receives defeated adventurers. He listens to excuses. He files failed quests. He cleans the silence left behind after epic stories. Sometimes, no one enters all night. Sometimes, someone who shouldn’t exist sits in front of him. Because when the dungeon closes and the heroes leave, Lian flips the sign from CLOSED to OPEN. And the monsters come to drink. A goblin who dies twenty times a day. A slime who remembers when everything was different. A skeleton who lost his voice in a forgotten battle. A boss who no longer remembers why he fights. To the world above, they are enemies. Experience. Obstacles to glory. To Lian, they are customers. Friends. People. And little by little, in a bar that shouldn’t exist, serving drinks he carefully prepares, Lian begins to wonder… If his quiet and forgotten life is really as insignificant as it seems. Or if maybe—just maybe—the most important stories are the ones no one ever tells.
