Living a rather mundane life, William Sigerson, a rising detective, finds himself tangled in a secretive mastermind's scheme to bring destruction to his world, changing his life forever. Wrongly framed as the culprit while investigating the crimes, he must first escape the clutches of the Enforcers, before leaving his country to form his own counterattack against the enemy. Unfortunately for him, the opponent he's up against is far beyond his expectations. Alliances snap, war erupts, and chaos takes over the world, as he struggles to bring his loved ones away from the fighting. Seeking shelter in a neighbouring country seems safe... until he finds out that everything had been planned from the beginning.
