The Outlaw Lawyer

No_Wife_No_Life
Su Bai has a 99% win rate. Nobody asks about the 1%. Not anymore. The last person who asked is currently serving four years for contempt, fraud, and a third charge that Su Bai invented on the spot and somehow made stick. He transmigrates into a parallel world on a Wednesday. By Friday he has won two cases. By the following Monday, his opposing counsel from the first case has been disbarred, his opposing counsel from the second case is under investigation, and the judge from both cases is in a holding cell thinking very hard about his life choices. Su Bai did not plan any of this. It simply kept being the logical next step. ~~~ "I strongly advise you to restrain yourself." Su Bai looks up from his notes. "From what, specifically?" The judge opens his mouth. Closes it. Opens it again — the universal expression of a man realizing, too late, that he has made a terrible mistake. That judge is in prison now. ~~~ There is an unspoken rule, passed between lawyers the way people pass warnings about bad weather — quietly, seriously, with the tone of someone who learned the hard way: If Su Bai is opposing counsel, settle. If you can't settle, flee. If you can't flee, at least update your will. Schedule: Saturday, Sunday

The Black Retreat: Dark Omens

The first book of "The Crimson Chronicles" trilogy. — In the heart of the vast Great Forest of Althea, the young fire mage Clei has spent a decade honing his powers. But as his magical strength reaches a critical bottleneck, he is driven to abandon the solitude of his woodland home—not only to uncover the truth behind his adoptive father's sudden disappearance, but to finally explore the vast, untamed world beyond the trees and step into the sprawling cities of the Kingdom of Pyraeth. What he finds is a world teetering on the brink of chaos. Two decades after the catastrophic Umbral Blight, the Human Realm is once again shadowed by doom. The Prophecy of the Black Moon has resurfaced, and a sinister cult is orchestrating a new plague. This malevolent force—the parasitic Umbral Phantoms responsible for turning millions into mindless Hollowed twenty years ago—has returned with a vengeance, threatening to plunge the world into eternal darkness. Facing terrifying monsters and the hatred of people who once rejected him, Clei must fight his way through a world falling into darkness. To survive, he needs to uncover the truth about his father's past, before the very curse that made him an outcast consumes him from the inside out. *** 2-3 chapters/day Author's Note: This is the very first book I wrote when I was younger, and to fully incorporate the lore of all my stories, I decided to pick this up along with two other books in the trilogy: The Empyrean Ascent Echoes in the Abyss
