I Am Spent, But Not Finished
Agni has reached the end of himself.
Not in a dramatic way—there are no tears left, no anger, no fight. Just a quiet, suffocating emptiness. The kind that lingers in the spaces between thoughts, in the silence of long nights, in the hollow rhythm of days that continue without asking why.
Once, his life made sense. There were people, purpose, and something that resembled hope. But a single mistake—one that refuses to fade—has unraveled everything. Relationships dissolved without confrontation. Opportunities slipped away without resistance. And slowly, almost imperceptibly, Agni became a stranger to his own life.
Now, he moves through the world like someone already finished.
But something doesn’t add up.
Because despite everything—despite the guilt, the distance, the quiet collapse—life does not end. Mornings still come. People still show unexpected kindness. Doors he thought were closed remain strangely open. And chances he never asked for keep finding their way back to him.
It unsettles him.
Agni does not want redemption. He does not believe in second chances, let alone third or fourth ones. If anything, he is more comfortable with the idea of consequences—of things ending the way they logically should.
So why does nothing end?
As he struggles to reject what he cannot understand, Agni finds himself caught in something far more unsettling than failure: a persistence of grace that refuses to leave him alone.
Not loud.
Not miraculous.
But constant.
In a world where everything should have been over, something continues.
And for the first time, Agni begins to wonder—
