Deep within the forests of Thailand, legends speak of Shamans—beings capable of wielding forces powerful enough to twist nature itself into something catastrophic. Entire villages once feared their existence.
Though believed to have disappeared long ago, traces of them still remain hidden beneath modern society.
At least, that was what Shiguma’s uncle told him
Ever since childhood, Shiguma had been able to sense things he could never properly explain—thoughts, intentions, and emotions that did not belong to him.
For years, he convinced himself something was simply wrong with him.
Until he discovered chess.
Within the board’s patterns and calculated movements, Shiguma finally found a way to steady the unnatural perception inside his mind. What he believed to be nothing more than a strange gift soon began drawing the attention of something far more dangerous.
Something tied to the forgotten Shaman world.
And the deeper Shiguma became involved, the more he realized his ability was never meant to remain unnoticed.
