Encantadia: The Forgotten Kingdom

Long ago, after the Overworld was formed, the realm of Encantadia came into being through the will of the Five Divine Beings. Bathalang Emre, the Divine Light, breathed life and magic into the void, becoming the great source from which all existence flowed. Bathalumang Ether, the Eternal Earth, shaped the land, raising mountains, valleys, and forests, and giving form to all living creatures that would walk upon the soil. Bathalang Haliya, bearer of wisdom and foresight, poured the seas into the world and hung the twin moons in the heavens, granting tides, time, and guidance to all who looked to the skies. Bathalang Arde, the flame of passion and wrath, ignited the world’s volcanoes and fire, ruling over the underworld and the unending cycle of destruction and rebirth. And Bathalang Keros, essence of soul and ruin, gave rise to storms, earthquakes, and the unseen forces of calamity, natural phenomena that reminded all beings of fate, consequence, and the fragile balance of existence. From this divine union, the world bloomed with wonders. To preserve harmony across land, sea, sky, and flame. Emre forged the Mother Gem, a crystal of immeasurable power that embodied the four elements: Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. In the heart of this newborn world, a kingdom rose named Etheria, the first and greatest civilization, blessed with magic and knowledge. Ruled by powerful queens and guided by the Gem, Etheria grew mighty… but also cruel. Blinded by pride, the Etherians used the Mother Gem to dominate and enslave the other tribes, believing themselves gods among mortals. But from the ashes of oppression, four tribes rose in defiance: Lireo, home of the Diwatas and the wind. Sapiro, guardians of the earth and warriors of strength. Adamya, stewards of the seas and bearers of wisdom. and Hathoria, wielders of flame and raw power. United by a single purpose, the three kingdoms and one tribe waged a great war against Etheria. With Emre’s blessing and divine intervention, Etheria fell, and its people were sealed away beyond the flow of time. To ensure such darkness would never rise again, the Mother Gem was shattered into four elemental jewels, each entrusted to a kingdom as a symbol of peace, balance, and guardianship. For a time, harmony returned to Encantadia. But peace proved fragile. As that all changed when the Kingdom of Hathoria attacked and broke the fragile balance. They sought to claim all the gems, and with them, dominion over all of Encantadia. And thus, a new era of war and prophecy begins… Yet far beyond the gaze of the four kingdoms, hidden in a land long forgotten and erased from history, the lost kingdom stirs once more. Its awakening, unseen and unheeded, is destined to alter the fate of Encantadia forever. _______ [A/N: This is a fanfic inspired by Filipino series and movies but don’t worry if you’re not familiar with them! It follows the "reincarnated into a story you were reading" trope common in novels. I started writing this because I’ve been feeling a bit disappointed with the new Encantadia series, so I wanted to create my own take on it. A heads up: this fic isn’t just limited to Encantadia.
