[WARNING: RATED 18+]
Brielle Onyx is twenty-four hours away from the pavement. With an eviction notice taped to her door and her late sister’s children trapped in a state orphanage, she's desperate. She’s spent years drowning in debt and slaving for a boyfriend who treated her like a paycheck.
Then comes Darius Crowne.
He is the city’s most ruthless playboy, a man who views women as acquisitions and doesn't believe in love. He needs a fake wife to silence a meddling board of directors and incinerate his reputation as a scandal magnet. Brielle is the perfect candidate: invisible, beautiful, and utterly expendable.
**The First Lesson:
Darius’s silk tie was cool as he wrapped it around my eyes, knotting it tight. Darkness swallowed the office.
"The board is right through that wall, Brielle," he whispered, his breath scorching my ear. "Don't make a sound."
I felt his large, heavy hand slide up my thigh, his thumb brushing the sensitive skin of my inner leg. My heart was trying to escape my chest.
"I... I’ll stay quiet," I gasped, my legs trembling.
"We'll see."
He didn't wait. His lips crushed mine, hungrily tasting my mouth and sucking my tongue. His hands moved lower and lower until it disappeared under my skirt.
My eyes snapped open behind the blindfold as he shoved my dress up to my waist and ripped my panties to the side. I didn't even have time to breathe before his fingers plunged deep into my core, stretching me open.
My back arched off the desk, fingers tangling into his hair as a jagged bolt of heat shattered my composure. My eyes rolled back behind the silk, my toes curling as I fought the urge to scream his name.
Fuck. Yes.
*BREACH**
"Wait..." I choked out. "Isn't this complicating things?"
"Complication implies I don’t have total control, Brielle. I assure you—I do." he hissed against my skin. "And I just added a clause."
"What... what clause?"
I felt him smirk against my inner leg, his touch turning more demanding, more possessive.
"The one where you belong to me in every room of this house," he whispered. "Starting with this kitchen. Now, shut up."
