In the Shadow Courtyard, shrouded in endless chaos and darkness, Amoen, the Giant Stag, faced the dormant Magic Web Terminal.
"I think this thing is broken," finally concluded the God of Nature of yore after a long silence, "it wasn't lit when they sent it over."
"...I've said it several times, the Magic Web Terminal can't be delivered turned on; it needs to be placed in an energy field to operate," sighed the lady beside Amoen, a giant figure formed of clouds and arcane symbols. Her sigh created an arcane cyclone of moderate size in the shadow realm, causing countless flashes of lightning at the courtyard's edge, "Didn't the person responsible for installing it tell you how to use it?"
"It was that mortal named 'Kamel' who delivered it, he didn't say, and I didn't ask," said Amoen sulkily, "he looked very busy, and seemed unwilling to stay around me for long."
