As Ryuu returned to his base, fatigue hit him full force. Crafting those pills well enough to satisfy his teacher was mentally and physically taxing for him. The threshold for passable pills, according to his teacher, was much higher than most. As a result, pills invaluable to many were mere trash before Veena.
As Ryuu walked towards his office, he could taste the air. Despair and helplessness clung to the area as barnacles do to ships.
His office door swung open as Ryuu stepped inside the room; the room was dustless, and yet it was as he had left it, the array he had placed holding, preventing any intrusion. He fell on his chair, and even though he wished for his bed, he had work to do, and with a heavy heart, he summoned a certain group of people.
