The kids soon arrived at the small grove, where cicadas were abundant. They got to work right away.

But they weren't the only ones there. Other kids were around too. In the summer, catching cicadas was a favorite pastime. After catching them, they could roast and eat them. Though it was just a tiny bit of meat, it was still meat.
No child could resist the allure of meat.
Despite the number of kids, there was no fighting. Even though they were young, they had their own territories. This area was close to their neighborhood, so it was mostly kids from the machine factory's residential area. They were like "family."
"Tuantuan, are you coming to the outskirts tomorrow?" another kid called out.
They were not only neighbors but also classmates, so they all knew each other well.
Tuantuan shook his head: "I have to go to my master's place tomorrow, and I have piano lessons in the afternoon."
