"Jian, John, I am back," Jessica said softly as she walked inside taking her shoes off. Jian smiled from the sofa asking, "Hi, Mom, did you have dinner yet?"
"No, I have an early morning appointment tomorrow, so I am heading to bed, I'll see you tomorrow evening," she spoke softly as she walked inside her room nodding at John.
Jian nodded and John smiled as they continued their conversation he asked, "So, what are you planning to do next Wednesday since you don't have work, wanna come to the office and spend time together?"
Jian giggled asking, "Can't spend a minute without your girlfriend now?" He blushed as she met his eyes, he looked away saying, "I," he sighed, "I prefer if I could see you more often."
"John, are you acting shy now, after proposing like that," she teased and he chuckled as said, "You're right, I guess there isn't that big of a difference in our relationship from before is there?"
She smiled at his question, answering, "No, Johnny, we are still friends, we will still spend time together, I will still visit you at the office, all that's changed is the status of our relationship and for me, that just means you are one of the two people in this world who I consider my family."
Jian smiled reaching for his hand as she leaned against him and he placed his head on top of her, gently squeezing her hand saying, "Thank you, Jian." She smiles asking, "So, should I tell Nicki and them, or do you want to keep this a secret?"
He laughed softly lifting his head and saying, "How about this, you call Nicki, and I'll call Will at the same time, whoever answers first will see our hands intertwine and we'll see if they can guess the other person."
Jian glanced at him nodding as they got their phones ready and it only took Nicki a few seconds before she picked up first, and asked, "Hey, wait, whose hand is that, is it John?"
Jian laughed as she panned the camera up and Will picked up John's call Jian motioned for Nicki to keep quiet before panning the camera to show Will's reaction, "Hey, man, why are you- whose hand- wait you did it, did she say yes?"
John smiled as he asked, "Take a guess?" Will laughed before saying, "Of course, it's a yes if you are calling to brag, and congrats Jian."
"Thanks, Will," Jian said smiling as she glanced at Johnny and Nicki spoke up saying, "Jian wait, Nick is coming let him see." Jian nods panning the camera down as Nick frowned asking, "What the hell, you want the bracelets or something?"
Jian held back her laugh as Nicki sighed saying, "No, you idiot, whose hand is that, take a guess." He frowned saying, "I don't know, oh wait you're on Facetime with Jian, hey Jiji, are you holding someone's hand, let me see." Jian moved the camera again as John asked, "Hey who else would she hold hands with Nick?"
He sighed, saying, "You know, you aren't the only one who liked her?" John tensed slightly as Jian sighed, turning the camera and saying, "Alright, anyhow I gotta go now. I'll call you tomorrow, Nicki. Bye, guys." John also cut the call with Will, and he sighed, saying, "I guess that went well."
She smiled asking, "Does me having many suitors upset you, kind sir," he laughed saying, "Yes my lady it does, however, there is no point in being upset as I have already acquired your affection."
"That is good to know," she paused before reaching for his ears whispering, "Although, you being jealous is quite attractive, Johnny."
He blushed as she got up and gently let go of his hand saying, "Let's head to bed, we can go on a morning run tomorrow if you want." He nodded getting up and soon they went to bed.

John yawned as he turned his alarm off before cleaning up and walking outside to freshen up. "Morning John," Jessica said as she got ready to leave," and he frowned asking, "Aunty are you leaving this early?"
She nods saying, "I have to visit a client in another city, so I am trying to avoid the traffic." He sighed asking, "When will you be back?"
"I'll be back in the city by 12 but I have to work overtime to cover a few mistakes so maybe 6," she said as she put her shoes on John nodded saying, "Jian and I'll be out today, I'll be sure to update you on our location." She nodded as she opened the door saying, "Have fun."
He sighed as he went to the restroom before getting some lemon water ready for Jian and then waking her up, and the two soon got ready to leave for their morning jog.
"So, are we going to the park?" Jian asked and he nodded asking, "Yes and you brought a change of clothes, right?" Jian nodded as he pulled the car out of the parking lot and she smiled asking, "So what are we doing today?"
"Well, first we'll go on a run before heading to my place and workout with some weights, then we'll have breakfast, and I need to clean my room again so you can choose a few new outfits for me for work next week, just normal day to day things," he explained and she nods saying, "Sounds like a perfect weekend." He nods and she smiles as they arrive.
They spent the early hours working out, and as Jian walked into the kitchen to begin cooking, she was met with an empty fridge containing nothing but water, soda, and moldy veggies in plastic containers.
She sighed as she threw them away before taking the glass out and cleaning each layer. "Jian, what are you up to?" John asked as he walked out, and she glared at him before she shook her head.
"Johnny, half the things in your fridge were moldy and the other half was liquid or expired sauce, I threw them away except for the liquids," Jian spoke softly and he nodded as he reached to help her dry the glass from the fridge and she sighed saying, "We're going to have to get groceries first before we can even eat."
"I see, I am sorry for not being a good host," John said as he hugged her and she sighed turning to face him before saying, "Johnny, I am not upset because you were a bad host, I am upset because you aren't taking care of yourself. I know you have a busy schedule and spend the majority of your time with me, but you need to take better care of your home, there was mold in your fridge."
He nodded and she sighed as leaned against him saying, "Now, why don't you put these back and I'll borrow one of your shirts since I got this one a little wet." He nods saying, "I'll wait for you."
She walked into his closet picking out a shirt that matched her shorts before walking out and putting her shoes on as John asked, "So, where do you want to go?"
