"Be at peace in the garden," she said as she guided the young light spirit that was sitting in a garden.
"Observe the flower that attracts you the most, but don't be surprised when it turns it's attention towards you."
"But what if I cause this flower to wilt? It is my duty as a spirit of light to form a connection with a flower, but these eyes of mine seem to only hurt those that I turn my focus on," the young light spirit questioned the guidance she provided.
"Should a petal wilt, don't be alarmed. Your eyes hold great command over nature, but it is nothing to be discouraged about," she comforted the young light spirit as she place her hand on his shoulder attempting to comfort him.
The young spirit balled his fists. He can't help but remember the countless times he left his home in flames.
"But I could have prevented it! The crazed trees. The separation of my home. The destruction of my family! Instead, I did nothing but look on, creating unrest where there should be peace..."
"Boy... those flowers would have wilted and fallen apart eventually. Instead of focusing on that, focus on nurturing these flowers in this new garden as best as you can. Plus, look around! There is still a flower here from that burning garden, a flower that has wilted so many times but still persists!"
"I know... I know that... it's just that my eyes have no effect on them. It's as if they consider me a flower! Not a single time I have turned my gaze on them have they looked at me..."
She sighed before removing her hand from his shoulder and saying, "Do not expect a single flower in this garden to be willing to ignore the glances you turn towards their sisters."
"These flowers will gossip, they may hope to aid your advances, they may hope to stall them. Either way, it is ultimately you that prevents you from connecting with this flower. Remember all that you've experienced with them! At some point, you must realize that you are the one avoiding their gaze..."
