Long ago, a race was blessed with many gifts. From birth, they were stronger than most. They lived in peace secluded away from the outside world as they knew if they were to become involved, it will lead to disaster.
Deus.
Known to be the strongest race to ever live.
They had everything they could ever want; Power, Influence, Stature. They had things everyone would want except for one, freedom.
As they were strong, if they were to make a move everyone within the continent would know. As such, they had rid themselves from worldly affairs.
Until one had crossed the barrier that was created between them and the world. A foolish man and woman who sought more than the world could ever give them.

As they were the strongest of their kind. Lilliane the Deus and Ezekiel the Human.
Their relationship had cause the continent to be in turmoil. As it was forbidden for Deus to fall in love with humans for their impurity.
Lilliane was sealed to prevent her from ever meeting Ezekiel, but no one had expect for Ezekiel to come meet her.
He had barged straight into the Deus settlement and single handedly defeated many and any Deus that stood in his way.
He reached lilliane and took her away to where no one could reach, but he had not realized the trouble he had created.
War began everywhere within the continent. The Deus and humans. Although the Deus were strong, there were few in number.
To stand by their kind, Lilliane and Ezekiel separated and began fighting for their race. Each of them had single handedly slaughter thousands of enemies, but when they met each other in the battle field, soldiers dispersed as they knew if they were to attempt to join the fight they will be met with their end.
The war lasted 8 months. As Lilliane was bearing a child, the Deus had lost their strongest fighter while humanities remained. Ezekiel continued to eradicate the Deus. Not for the war, but for his guilt having sacrificed many lives for his selfish desire.
Eventually he had reached Lilliane with the newborn child. He had finally met his family.
He gave up.
He no longer fought for humanity.
This time he swore to save them.
He took Lilliane and the child away.
While she bared resentment towards him, it did not faze him. All he could think about was keeping his new family happy.
He made his amends.
As they were hated by the world, there was only one way for them to live in peace.
To give up everything they had worked for.
Ezekiel had his Core removed and no longer had any magic power while Lilliane had been cursed to were she could no longer use her strength. The strongest of the continent had been stripped to mere mortals that were controlled by others.
They were willing to go to such lengths for their child to live.
By the time they had fixed the issues between themselves it was already too late.
