Chapter 348 - Chapter 326: Ten Thousand Year Precaution

Heavy seawater fell upon the valley like the wrath of an angry ocean, crashing down in an endless torrent that swallowed everything in its path.

Soul bones that had stood the test of ten thousand years were pulverized in an instant. The remaining Jade Phosphorous Flowers dissolved into nothing as the domain water eroded both matter and energy alike.

The ground itself turned into churning mud, then into a roaring river that threatened to drag every living thing toward an invisible abyss.

Domain - All Rivers Run Into The Sea

A domain skill of the Thousand Hand Douluo that restores and absorbs the vitality of any Blue Silver Grass in a tremendous range, turning the vitality into any form of energy that Tang San's Blue Silver Emperor requires, and add it to oneself.

However, it changed.

Now it's a domain that embodies the nature of Tang San's seat of divinity, of the Sea God; changing the heaven and earth into the deep sea with complete dominion over it.

Anyone caught in it would either be submerged in the boundless waters or be turned into sea creatures.

"Domain Expansion - Snowy Dance of Ultimate Ice." Snow Empress coldly muttered, rapidly backwards in a flash so that she was within the vicinity of the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well.

Deep chilling frost and ice exploded outwards from underneath her feet and enveloped the area around her in a perfect white sphere, warding off the crashing seawater with ruthless efficiency.

Where the two domains met, violent hissing filled the air.

Seawater flash-froze into jagged icebergs the moment it touched Snow Empress' Snowy Dance of Ultimate Ice, only for Tang San's domain to try and melt them back into corrosive seawater.

The clash created a chaotic no-man's-land of frozen waves and boiling ice mist that stretched for hundreds of kilometers.

This was no longer a battle that any soul master or soul engineer could step into.

This was a battle amongst monsters!

Snow Empress stood at the center of her white sphere, right beside the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well.

She glanced back, a flicker of concern in her eyes as she saw the lack of disturbance in the well.

'How long is it going to take?' She gritted her teeth and set aside the ice sword in her hand.

'My speculation shouldn't be wrong. That man isn't alive and he shouldn't be the real Tang San. A clone perhaps? That should explain it and we can hold him back but... it couldn't be that simple. There's something more to him than that!'

"Skydream, help us!"

"I'll try my best!" Skydream replied, the spiritual power within him surged and his pupils constricted. His spiritual body turned transparent and unstable.

Snow Empress pressed her hands together and performed several hand-seals.

Her domain trembled and lightning-like lines spread outwards, spreading further frost in jagged, branching patterns that raced across the frozen seawater and cracked earth like veins of absolute zero. Each line pulsed with her remaining origin energy, turning the battlefield into a vast, crystalline web of ice that actively resisted Tang San's Domain.

"Er Ming, shatter her domain." Tang San indifferently said.

Er Ming nodded obediently, his injuries fully healed, and began thumping his massive rock-like chest with both fists. Golden light exploded from his body like a second sun, muscles bulging to an inhuman size as the full power of his Indestructible Vajra Body was pushed to its absolute limit.

"ORAHHHHHHHH!!!"

The roar shook the frozen web.

That wasn't the end. As Er Ming stomped forward, each step cracking the ground, explosive massive energies expanded from his body.

Ten Thousand Beast Domain!

Gravity Control Domain!

His fists glowed with a terrifying golden-red hue, the power of Ultimate Strength, Ten Thousand Beast Domain, Gravity Control Domain, and a small amount of Divine Power borrowed from Tang San all fused into a single, overwhelming strike.

The air itself seemed to scream as gravity warped violently around him. The frozen chunks of seawater floating in mid-air were pulled downward with crushing force, shattering into powder.

Tang San calmly observed this all and lifted his left hand, showing it to be faint and flickering like a projection barely holding its shape in reality. The edges of his fingers blurred and dissolved into faint blue mist before reforming, the entire limb growing more translucent by the second.

'If only we had come sooner, I could've already killed the Child of Destiny during the breakthrough of his cultivation. Damn his luck. We had to encounter two Monarchs on the way.'

Killing a Child of Destiny couldn't be easily done, even for a God King; unless he was to blatantly break the rules and impose his true authority upon the mortal realm.

But he couldn't do that unless he wants to have Hui Mie and the other God Kings coming after him.

A Child of Destiny is blessed with unparalleled luck by the world itself so that they would reach the peak in a short amount of time and wouldn't be easily killed.

The world would conspire in subtle ways: fortuitous encounters, timely interventions, sudden bursts of insight, speeding up their cultivation without affecting their foundation, etc.

It was to keep them alive until they're fully matured. Because by then, they'd ascend to a higher realm.

Tang San would know this clearly, since he was a Child of Destiny of this world ten thousand years ago.

Ten thousand years ago, after the war and just as he was about to ascend to the Divine Realm, he made a divination of the future.

He saw an image of a mysterious man, with long black hair, slightly tanned skin, wore strange metal armor that fit him snugly as if they were just clothes. A powerful feeling emanated from him as his eyes stared at him.

His eyes were blood-red, with three comma-like dots around each of his pupils.

Then, two more strange images appeared.

One was of a crimson red moon, with strange markings all over them. They looked similar to the marks on the mysterious man's eyes.

The second was of a strange and powerful beast, with ten tails and had a similar looking yet vastly different dangerous eye.

Those divination of his made him wary of the future. Especially since he saw the disdain and anger in the man's eyes.

It was as if he was looking right at him, through the divination.

To prevent a likely catastrophe to fall upon him, he decided to set down a few precautions.

One of them was his first Disciple, Ji Xiang, turning him into his Apostle.

Although his talent and mentality was somewhat lacking, but with Tang San's support, he would have enough strength in the future to deal with anyone in the mortal realm.

Unfortunately, the Plane had actively blocked Ji Xiang by awakening the Primordial Sea Monarch.

His Apostle is unrivaled against most beings in the mortal world, but Monarchs are a different breed.

If they were pushed enough, they would explode with the power of a Peak 1st Class God!

Normally it wouldn't be threatening enough for Tang San with his Asura God King Cultivation, but he had just come from a deadly war!

The injuries and sacrifices he made from battling Shibai Ōtsutsuki haven't alleviated yet, and he was also still preparing for his eventual return.

Considering the cost for killing the Child of Destiny, Tang San wouldn't personally descend into the mortal world.

Fortunately, the other precaution he made was this clone!

This wasn't no ordinary clone. To avoid the complete suppression from the Plane and earning the ire of other Gods, Tang San had plucked this clone from the timestream!

It was the time before he fully became the Sea God and split a phantom clone from himself, placing it in a special coffin that would nourish and strengthen the clone for thousands of years so that it could effectively get rid of the Child of Destiny.

There was no Divine Consciousness that connected to the present Tang San with this clone, making it the perfect alibi if certain Gods were to become curious of the affairs of this world.

That clone had been resting in a forbidden area of the Clear Sky Sect, which is one of the reasons Tang San had them go into a deep seclusion for ten thousand years!

All for a precaution, if the Child of Destiny rebels against him!

And now, as he had had dreaded, Huo Yuhao had grown ambitious!

As to why his domain had changed despite having zero connection with the present Tang San, well, he had made plans with the help of Da Ming and Er Ming for that.

'Although my power is finite, it's more than enough to handle that child.'

'When he's at the peak of his breakthrough, all of his good luck and fortune would be used in that single moment.'

'As it's all used up, in that split second, that would be the best time to strike!'

Tang San's eyes gleamed and he snapped his gaze to the right. Without any warning, he swiped his Tyrant Spear horizontally, causing a line to appear.

It was as if the space before him was a curtain and the cut had sliced it open cleanly. And hiding behind that curtain was a beautiful female figure, her long black-white hair fluttered with the wind, and though despite she was caught, her teal eyes showed no concern.

Numerous blue and red orbs, respectively emitting intense Yin and Yang energy, converged around her body.

Tang San furrowed his brows, "Impressive illusion technique. For a moment, you managed to evade my gaze."

Jianxin slightly smirked at him, "How could this humble crane evade the gaze of someone as grand as you? I simply took advantage of your moment of respite."

Tang San coldly smiled and went into a stance.

"Well, you've already made the preparations. Let's see if it can actually scratch me."

The moment the words left his mouth, Jianxin's teal eyes flashed with ruthless determination. The numerous blue and red orbs orbiting her body spun faster and faster, drawn into her mouth.

Her cheeks puffed slightly as the compressed Yin-Yang energies fused into a single, horrifyingly dense sphere inside her. The air around her warped violently. Cracks spread across space in concentric circles.

Jianxin tilted her head back, her long black-and-white hair whipping wildly in the self-generated storm.

Then she opened her mouth.

*Boom!*

A massive black-white beam of annihilation erupted from her lips, screaming forward with terrifying speed, causing space to collapse around it.

Tang San coldly snorted and took a step forward, nine soul rings erupted around him; nine blinding red-gold that emitted dreadful waves of killing intent! One of his soul rings erupted with intense bloody light.

"Blue Silver Evil Spirit Mirror Destruction!"

Blood-red crystals appeared around him in a formation, sprouting rapidly from the air itself like vicious scarlet flowers. They grew in an intricate, mirror-like geometric pattern; sharp, translucent, and pulsing with bloody light.

The massive black-white beam slammed into the crystal formation.

Instead of a direct collision, the crystals angled themselves with eerie precision. The annihilation beam struck the first layer and was forcibly redirected at an oblique angle, its terrifying momentum shunted sideways.

The beam screamed past Tang San, carving a deep, perfectly straight trench through the already ruined Sunset Forest before exploding harmlessly in the distance, erasing another chunk of the landscape.

The remaining crystals continued to bloom, spreading outward in a dome-like cage that threatened to entrap Jianxin.

Jianxin was breathing heavily, and seeing the crystals trying to trap her, she closed her eyes and entered a stance.

"Embrace the Oneness!"

Her long black-and-white hair whipped violently, as the space around her changed with a massive moving Tai Chi symbol appeared under her feet.

Three white-black orbs orbited around her for a moment before moving accordingly with her hands, generating massive swirling wind field. The wind howled like a living storm, forming a perfect vortex that rapidly expanded to cover the entire blood-red crystal cage.

The remaining crystals trembled. Their sharp, reflective surfaces began to shake as the powerful suction force pulled at them from every direction. Shards of red crystal broke off and spiraled inward toward Jianxin at the center, grinding against each other with ear-piercing screeches.

Tang San coldly looked at her, and poised his Tyrant Spear at her.

"Die—?!"

He froze and snapped his gaze down below, to where the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well was.

An excited look appeared in his eyes and he quickly turned his Tyrant Spear towards the direction in which Huo Yuhao was!

"No!" Jianxin realized this and tried to stop him.

But it was already too late.

Gathering every strength and power that he had, to the point that his form became completely translucent, Tang San pulled back the Tyrant Spear and thrust it forward with terrifying force.

The weapon blurred, leaving a trail of blue-golden light as it pierced straight through the collapsing wind field of "Embrace the Oneness" and even through Snow Empress' domain!

It was the spear that would strike endlessly and only stop with the target's death!
