Leng Jin watched the little woman bouncing on her toes to talk to the receptionist. He had to admit that this reception desk was taller than most, which only made this young woman's height disadvantage all the more obvious. Seeing the little woman like this made him want to pinch her cheeks.
Finally, the receptionist gestured her to the waiting area where she paused at that taller than usual waiting chairs. Her cheeks puffed a little, feeling a surge of irritation. Did a tall person own this company and order all the chairs? Had they no consideration for the shorter members of the populace?
The little woman awkwardly sat on the chair after a long moment of hesitation, drawing amused glances from other people who were sitting in the waiting room. Her feet didn't reach the ground at all, but swung freely in the air. The way she looked around the room reminded him of the way a curious child might look around.
"Who is she?" Leng Jin passed behind the reception desk and asked discreetly.
"That's your eleven o'clock meeting," the receptionist pointed at the screen and Leng Jin raised an eyebrow.
Ms Wen Jin from the Lequyin Company. For the Bronze Stand Project cooperation.
Leng Jin rubbed his nose. That's right. Her name had stuck in his head because they had the same given name. Looking at her, he had an inexplicable, strange feeling. Despite having the same given name, height wise, they were nearly opposites. She was definitely shorter than 150cm. He was over 190cm. When he walked her to the interview room later, wouldn't they look like a father and daughter?
Leng Jin shook the strange image out of his head and took a deep breath. She was a professional. Just like him. She wouldn't have been sent here to discuss the Bronze Stand Project if she wasn't capable. He shouldn't be like others and judge a book by its cover.
