Zhang Lingying's hand was still on the doorknob. By the time she came to her senses, Lu Jing had already found the most comfortable spot on her bed and closed his eyes to sleep.
With his actions, he proved to her that he really didn't do anything, just covered himself with the quilt and purely slept.
"One."
"Two."
Zhang Lingying stood at the door, scrutinizing the pretending-to-sleep Lu Jing for a few seconds, and began counting.
When she counted to three, Lu Jing opened his eyes, sneaked a peek at her, got caught by Zhang Lingying, and sat up from the bed grudgingly, hugging his pillow and slowly crawling out of her bedding.
When he reached the door, he still asked reluctantly, "Can't you really let me stay for one night?"
Zhang Lingying did not answer him. She directly reached out and pushed him out the door, neatly closing it.
After sending Lu Jing off, Zhang Lingying didn't think much of it, fell back into bed, wrapped herself in the blanket, and fell asleep.
