During School one day, Lydia and Aiden were making out in Coach Finstock's office when suddenly, the fire alarm went off. After Aiden left first, Lydia stayed behind for a moment to get straightened up, but before she could follow him out, Cora appeared, revealing that she had been the one who pulled the fire alarm so as to separate her from Aiden. She remarked that Lydia didn't have very good taste in guys, and when Lydia asked her if she had a problem.
Cora informed her that if she saw Aiden and Lydia together again, she would be pulling her tongue out of her head instead of the fire alarm. Lydia, unimpressed by Cora's threats, remarked that since her last boyfriend, Jackson Whittemore, was a "homicidal lizard," she was confident that she could handle a Werewolf. However, when Cora grabbed Lydia by the wrist and squeezed it tightly, Lydia began to get scared and demanded that she let go. When Cora continued to apply pressure to her arm, Stiles Stilinski appeared behind them and insisted that Cora listen to Lydia and let her go, which Cora reluctantly did.
Walking down the hall she ran into Scott,- "I caught that arrogant redhead playing around with the enemy, you need to keep your friends in line if you don't wish them to get hurt." She huffed walking by him.
Turning back to look at her, Scott asked,- "What?" Before turning around again to see an unhappy Stiles heading his way.
"Did you see her, Cora? I just caught her threatening Lydia," said Stiles.
"What? Why would she do that?" Scott asked.
There was an awkward pause, and then a sigh as Stiles explained,- "Lydia was hanging out with Aiden, and apparently that didn't sit well with Cora."
Scott's face scrunched up,- "She's right, Lydia shouldn't be doing that."
Stiles shot him a glare,- "So, you think she was right to threaten Lydia."
"Dude that's not what I meant, and I can't believe you're still this hung up on her after everything," said Scott.
Memories of Scott confessing to kissing Lydia boils back up, causing him to explode,- "Not all of us can be like you, Scott. Nothing fazes you does it? Not the alphas, not the druid, not the coach breathing down our necks, not even Allison when she broke up with you, Nothing! Nothing gets you down."
That last comment about Allison really stung as Scott exclaimed angrily,- "Stiles!" Quickly looking around for any others who may have heard, thankfully everyone was cleared out from the alarm.
Before they could really get into it, a teacher appeared,- "What are you two doing, are you deaf, get outside now and back to wherever you should be this instant."
Nevan watching from his classroom entrance with his arms crossed leaning against the doorframe was seeing Stiles for the first time having a bad habit of ignoring human existences if it wasn't directly affecting him.
A regular human hanging around supernaturals was an unusual sight, to say the least. He liked what he saw. Standing up to those who could snap in half like a twig was pretty gutsy, the kid had backbone. It was a shame it only ever reared itself when it had to do with the girl he was pining for, otherwise, he may have noticed him sooner.
Nevan grinned evilly for a moment before scowling as he reentered his classroom waiting for the damn alarms to turn off and classes to resume. Cora was going to regret pulling that damn thing next training session.

After making up with Stiles, apologizing to each other, telling him he did care and that he's just learned to control his emotions better because he's had to. Scott then left school to find out what was going on with Derek.
Derek was healed up and eager for revenge, as was Isaac, but Boyd and Erica were shaken, though they hid it well. Both were extremely frustrated and angry, but there was an underlying fear that Scott knew from experience would create mistakes.
Scott decided to seek out Deucalion on his own and proposed a truce to the Alpha Pack leader, who agreed to meet him at the Abandoned Mall.

Lydia was in her room with Aiden making out when he got up to use the restroom.
While in there his phone buzzed on the nightstand
She couldn't help but take a quick peek at the text.
When her bathroom door opened she hurriedly placed it back down.
"Was that my phone I heard?" Asked Aiden.
"Yeah, but ignore that, let's get back to what we were doing early," said Lydia seductively.
Aiden's eyes lingered on her for a bit, but there was no way he could ignore a text from Deucalion.
"Let me just check my phone real quick," he said reaching around her as she groaned in protest.
After reading he put the phone back in his pocket,- "Sorry babe, gotta go," he said giving her a peck on the cheek goodbye.
As soon as he was out the door, Lydia pulled out her phone and called Allison.

Scott arrived at the Mall on his motorcycle. He met with Deucalion, who was found on an escalator, at the center of the Mall, where Deucalion quickly saw that Scott did not come alone.
Derek, Boyd, Erica, and Isaac, were all wolfed out, standing right behind him as they had predicted that Scott would try to come to a truce with the "Alpha of Alphas." Scott attempted to reason with Derek, stating that they have already killed people and they could not risk their families, only for the intransigent Derek to firmly declare that the "Demon Wolf" is the only one who has to die.
Unfortunately for the Beacon Hills Werewolves, Deucalion was one step ahead of them and revealed to have brought his subordinate Alphas with him. Kali, Ennis, and the twins Ethan and Aiden reveal themselves to the Hale Pack members, ready for a potential battle. After a long moment of silence and tension, Derek elected to attack Deucalion, only for him to end up fighting against Kali.
Boyd and Erica teamed up against Ennis, leaving the reluctant Scott and Isaac to battle Ethan and Aiden, who had just merged into their "Voltron-Wolf" form, while Deucalion remained at the escalator to watch the fight.

He wasn't the only one watching though, as Nevan, who brought his own seating arrangement, finding a nice spot on the roof with Cora by his side. Spying on them through the rooftop window. Rebekah uninterested stayed at home for the night.
"Now remember I brought you here to watch and learn. I don't want you to get emotional and jump down there thinking you can save them, even if the fall doesn't kill you, I might," said Nevan far too calmly.
Uneased by his tone, Cora snorted,- "So you just want me to watch my friends and family die?" She asked aggressively.
"Derek will be fine, they wouldn't go through all this just to kill him," said Nevan.
"And what about the others?" Asked Cora.
"Does it matter?" Asked an uncaring Nevan.
Cora wanted to reply, but kept silent, she really didn't know them all that well. Boyd and Erica killed whatever goodwill relationship they once had.
"Look, your brother is getting his rematch against Kali, oh and check that out the twins combining, you'll likely never see anything else like it." A thought then came to his head as he muttered to himself,- "Hmm, maybe I should find other twins and experiment."
For a moment his own kids entered his mind, but he didn't think they would really be twins in the traditional sense, more likely regular siblings that just happened to be born in the same litter like in any regular animal species.
Cora wasn't paying attention to him as she watched her brother struggle against Kali.
Sensing her intense focus, Nevan places his hand on her shoulder to get her attention, pointing,- "Look at how terrible they all are at fighting, all except the female, do you know why?" He asked.
She glanced at him, following his finger back to the fight,- "They likely don't train much if at all, and none of them fight with their instincts, as for her, she does seem to be using her instincts and looks relatively well practiced..." She pauses a moment and says,- ...I could take her."
Nevan chuckles,- "You mean if you were an Alpha."
Not denying the claim, Cora was Unable to stop the grin on her face, but still grunted in displeasure at the reminder of her beta status.
Nevan grins,- "You're right in they likely don't train or fight with their instincts. They all rely on their self-perceived supernatural strength, not even considering the fact that it can be worked out just like a human would work out to get stronger. A failing of those born with or gifted great power, it takes a lot for them to realize they still need to work if they wish to get better."
"As for the female, as it usually goes for those of smaller stature, they're usually forced to be better, to fight better as to compensate for their lack of size, and she certainly is something. Look at the way her attacks flow, the way she uses the claws on her toes, oh yeah there she goes again kicking him in his stupid smug face, that'll leave a nasty mark, well if it wasn't for his regeneration that is," he said so far pleased with the festivities.
Cora grimaced but said nothing.
"I don't know Cora, I've been putting you through some harsh training, but until you can fully be in the moment and let your instincts guide you, you'll have a tough time fighting someone like her," he said trying to motivate her.
Cora frowned,- "Whatever... What about Derek, you acted like receiving our mother's Alpha powers was something special, why then is he still struggling?" She questioned.
It was Nevan's turn to snort,- "Your brother should win with ease, but he's at fault for the same failing we just discussed. Instead of training and pushing himself, he thinks being an Alpha is good enough. He hasn't even accessed his new transformations yet, otherwise, he would wipe the floor with everyone here. Having said that you'll notice how despite Kali's clear advantage in skills, your brother isn't being pushed back, his superior regeneration is starting to show, let's see how things play out now that there isn't a pipe around to stick through him."

Deucalion's eyebrow rose as the fight dragged on, he could tell there was something different about Derek. He noticed it back in the loft when they came to visit him, but he didn't think much of it at the time with how easily he was defeated. However now he could see Derek in what he believed to be full form, taking hits like they were nothing and continuing on.
Unfortunately, the other powerful Alphas quickly took out the younger weaker wolves. Injuring them pretty badly, especially Scott, before turning their sights on Derek. At first, they held back because they didn't want to interfere with Kali's fight, but it became clear Derek wasn't going down anytime soon without help.
With a nod from Deucalion, they ganged up on him and finished it, much to Kali's displeasure at failing to handle things on her own in a timely manner.
Once the battle ended in victory for the Alphas, Deucalion turned his attention to Derek.
The Alpha Pack leader proposed a very discomforting deal—if Derek killed Boyd, the others could go free and alive, believing that once Derek had killed Boyd, he would be willing to kill the others as part of his initiation into the Alpha Pack. Derek remained conflicted, not sure of what to do, and Kali joined the debate, showing her amusement and disbelief for Deucalion choosing Derek to become one of them, claiming that he's nothing but Alpha of a "couple of pathetic teenagers," which led Deucalion to cryptically answer that some of the others—in this case, though not mentioned, Scott—had more potential than others.
Derek couldn't help but smirk despite being forced to kneel in front of Deucalion when he thought about how the feeling he got from this so-called "Alpha of Alphas" was nothing like that day when Nevan stood before him as an insurmountable wall he could never climb. Whereas Deucalion felt so much lesser, standing back and watching minions do his dirty work, playing the part of a master rather than a pack leader.
"I have to say, you are not nearly as intimidating as you think you are. You're only interested in me because you want my mother's lineage, you think her unique. Hate to break it to you, but I've met someone from her past who would likely argue that, and his power is not something you or anyone here can contend with. It's not I who should be afraid, but you. I have a feeling he won't take kindly to me submitting to someone who can't even fight his own battles," Said Derek venomously.
All but Boyd and Erica looked at him questioningly wondering what on earth he was talking about.
Deucalion's hands clenched briefly around his cane as he leaned forward against it,- "Oh yes, I almost forgot, you have a magical helper that helped free your little friends, why isn't he here helping you now?" He asked remembering back to the vault where he concluded it could only have been done by or with the aid of magic.
Deucalion then bent down answering for them, in his smug calm relaxed tone that managed to really get under some people's skin, - "He isn't here because he either knows better or your not as close as you would like to think, now I gave you a way out, kill one of your betas or fall here never to rise again."
Before Derek could make a decision, Allison Argent was revealed to have arrived at the Mall and started shooting flash-bang arrows at the Alphas, blinding and distracting them, giving the Beacon Hills wolves the chance to get the severely-injured Boyd out of the way. Scott lunged for Ennis and countered his tremendous size and strength with nearly equal power, causing his eyes to briefly glow red, marking his potential to become a True Alpha, which was exactly why Deucalion was so eager to recruit him as well as Derek.
Nevan also noticed Scott's brief change and wondered if the boy really had what it takes to become a True Alpha. However, something told him he didn't, finding it very strange the boy was able to show anything of the sort. He would have to keep an eye on him to try and figure out what was going on with him. There was no chance a boy who pleaded for peace was Alpha material, and that was just one of his many faults.
Derek caught Ennis off-guard and attacked him from behind, leading to a battle between the two Alphas, who fought each other on equal terms as they unintentionally moved closer to a hole. Fearing Derek would be overpowered, Scott used his claws to slice Ennis' Achilles tendon, though Ennis grabbed Derek and brought him down with him, causing them to fall three stories and land on the escalator below, presumably killing them.
Cora was about to cry out when she was hit by Nevan's pressure keeping her silent,- "Stay calm, a fall like that can't kill him, not to mention the other will also likely survive. It's over now and since there's no longer a reason for us to stay, we'll head back and begin training immediately while the fights are still fresh in your mind. Use it as fuel to help push you further. You now know where you stand and what you need to do in order to get to where you want to be, don't waste this opportunity."
The next day, Ennis was revealed to have been rescued by Kali, Aiden, and the Alpha Pack's Emissary, Marin Morrell, before being urgently carried to the animal clinic owned by Marin's brother Alan Deaton. Despite his reluctance in helping the Alphas due to the harm they had done to the Werewolves he was friends with, Deaton ultimately agreed to treat Ennis once Morrell made it clear that Ennis' death would lead the other Alphas to get revenge on the Beacon Hills Werewolves, including Scott, who happened to be Deaton's protégé.
That same day, a concerned Cora went back to the Mall when Derek didn't show up, but she did not find either Derek or Ennis. She decided to check the clinic to see if Derek had managed to go there.
When night fell, Chris Argent visited the Mall and stared at the marks that the battle between the Alpha Pack and the Hale Pack had left. He then received a phone call from his daughter Allison, who informed him that she was going to spend the night in Glen Capri Motel with her packmates.
