Shirou had almost succeeded in taking Nodoka and Asuna away using his shadow. It's just that just before Shirou managed to enter his own shadow, there was some kind of white ribbon with runes written on it that wrapped around Shirou, Nodoka and Asuna's bodies.
As soon as the ribbon touched Asuna's body, it disappeared in an instant due to the power of Asuna's Magic Cancel. So that the ties that wrapped around Shirou and Nodoka were released.
But because of the white ribbon, Shirou was unable to take away Nodoka and Asuna so he remained in the same place.
"Tcch, the three of us can barely get away from this place," Shirou said while grit his teeth. "To think that among Ariadne's disciples there are those who can use such advanced magic."
Shirou directed his gaze towards Beatrix Monroe, Emily Sevensheep's maid who had previously made a special magic ribbon that was strong enough to bind even Level B fighters. And Emily with Collette beside her looked at Shirou with cold eyes.
"I don't know why you would want to help those two dangerous fugitives," Beatrix said. "But I can't allow the two of them to escape."
"Haaah, it's a shame you're not strong enough to stop me," Shirou said putting Asuna and Nodoka into his shadow. Theoretically Asuna wouldn't be able to enter Shirou's shadow because of the existence of Magic Cancel, but Asuna's Magic Cancel power wasn't strong enough to suppress Shirou's dark power that came from Alucard so Asuna could be put into Shirou's shadow. "So sorry because I have to get out of here."
Shirou threw the Black Keys he had just made to Beatrix, Collete, Yue and Emily so that the four of them were completely immobilized.
Beatrix, Collete, Yue and Emily were shocked because they couldn't see it when Shirou threw the Black Keys to the four of them because Shirou threw the four Black Keys in a high speed.
Shirou was once again about to, leave that place to escape. But just before he can escape through his own shadow, a distraction appears a second time preventing Shirou from escaping.
"The successor of the Sevensheep family from Ariadne was stopped by someone unknown? Aren't you ashamed of the failure that just happened to you Emily-sama?"
From behind Emily, there was a man who was almost as tall as Takamichi wearing glasses with a slightly odd hairstyle. He was accompanied by a group of soldiers wearing full armor.
And next to the man was a small boy who was the same age as Negi wearing a butler's outfit and holding a long katana that was much taller than his body.
"Governor general of Ostia, Kurt Godel," Emily said, immediately recognizing the identity of the man. "W-what are you doing here?"
"I was just taking a walk to take a look at the state of Ostia by my own eyes," Kurt said smiling at Emily while trying to pull the Black Keys out of Emily's shadow. "But what I see was you who are in embarrassing situation, even though you already have a maid who is strong enough plus it is said that you yourself are one of the best students in Ariadne, but apparently the rumors are lies."
Emily was once again able to move after the Black Keys were removed by Kurt, she was grit her teeth. Emily was annoyed by Kurt's words, but she couldn't reply to the governor general's words because everything the governor general said was true.
After Kurt Godel succeeded in helping Emily and her three friends, he ordered two of the soldiers who were escorting him to take Emily, Beatrix, Yue and Collete to return to where they were staying while Kurt Godel himself walked slowly towards Shirou who was currently looking very alert.
Bdcause Shirou could feel that Kurt at least was at Takamichi level.
"I didn't know at all, that the Archer that was mentioned by 'him' when 'he' was in Kyoto could appear here," Kurt said who stood exactly two meters in front of Shirou. "You weren't one of the fugitives who destroyed Gateport, why would you bother helping those fugitives?"
"If you know about me and what happened in Kyoto, it means you have a relationship with Fate Averruncus," Shirou said who still looked wary. "Why would Kurt Godel a student of Aoyama Eishun, the eternal rival of Takamichi T Takahata want to be a puppet of Megalomesembria which has the most corrupt politicians in Mundus Magicus? Aren't you supposed to be a member of Ala Rubra? Don't tell me because you're afraid of death, you sided with Megalomesembria who should be your enemy."
Kurt previously wanted to make Shirou angry by provoking Shirou. But before Kurt could do that, he was the first to be provoked by Shirou who said something that annoyed him.
"You!" Kurt shouted with the veins showing on his forehead because he was angry. "How did you know about all that stuff!"
"Hmm? I have my own source of information," Shirou said who knew everything about Kurt from Ricardo and Rakan. "You don't need to know where I got that information from."
"An unknown person like you dares to provoke me and then calls me a coward," Kurt said who took his katana from the hands of the little butler who had been trying to calm Kurt down. "It look like you want me to cut you using my sword."
Kurt shot quickly towards Shirou accompanied by a group of soldiers accompanying him. But before Kurt and his soldiers could get close to Shirou, countless swords bombarded Kurt and his soldiers so they couldn't get close to Shirou.
Kurt managed to slash all the swords that would stab him, so he survived, but the soldiers accompanying Kurt weren't so lucky.
Because their abilities were below Kurt they couldn't avoid Shirou's attacks at all and they all died as all the swords penetrated their armor. Even though all of the armor had been strengthened by magic.
"What kind of attack is that!" Shouted Kurt who became even more angry because all of his men were killed by Shirou. "I've never seen that kind of magic!?"
"That's just a slightly refined Projection Magecraft," Shirou said who once again created lots of swords in the air. "It's just that because my main element in Magecraft is a sword, that's why I attacked all of you with the sword earlier and now."
The speed of the sword that Shirou fired was abnormal, so even Kurt Godel, who was a very experienced fighter, had difficulty slashing all the swords that were pointed at him.
"Projection Magecraft you say!? Basic magecraft that call useless can became this scary!" Godel shouted who was once again forced to defend himself by Shirou's attacks. "You have to be kidding me!"
Since Kurt was unable to get close to Shirou at all, he decided to use a long-range slash to attack Shirou.
Shinmeiryuu doesn't have many long ranged attacks, so Kurt improvised and made his own version of long ranged attacks. His long-range slashes were imperceptible, swift and could cut through the neck of his opponent effectively.
But what Kurt doesn't know is, Shirou also was a masters of Shinmei arts. His level on the arts even surpassed Kurt, so that Shirou could tell what Kurt wanted to do with just one look.
Because even though Kurt attacked Shirou using his own style, it was still based on Shinmei's style. So it's not difficult for Shirou to know what kind of move Kurt will use just by looking at Kurt's body movements.
Kurt's long-range slash was blocked by Shirou using the Kanshou he made in an instant. And in less than a second Shirou had already carried out a cross slash to Kurt's body by moving using quick moves that were so fast that they left an after image that could deceive Kurt's eyes.
"Oohook!" Kurt spewed blood from his mouth plus his chest which was hit by a cross slash also oozed a lot of blood. He didn't understand at all what had just happened to him.
'S-since when did my body get cut by him! Wh-why can't I notice! Even though I'm sure that he's still in front of me right now!'
