A moment later, she slowly blinked her eyes open, and her vision cleared to see Ji Yuan sitting quietly on the chair beside her. Her eyes immediately widened in surprise.
"Teacher Ji?" Bai Xifeng quickly sat up straight as a board, smoothing down her wrinkled robes and correcting her posture to look respectful.
"Hmm..." Ji Yuan responded calmly, his voice smooth and even. "If you want to sleep so soundly, you should return to the comfort of your own room."
Bai Xifeng stretched lazily, arching her back and rubbing the back of her neck to ease the stiffness. It had been a surprisingly comfortable and refreshing nap.
"Well, I was originally waiting right here for you so we could start class. Where did you go anyway?" Bai Xifeng asked, before suddenly raising a hand to cut herself off. "Oh... Never mind. No need to tell me."
