She paused.
"It wasn't long before the sickness claimed his life."
A murmur swept through the congregation.
"His father's death devastated him. He became angry with God and abandoned everything that had to do with Christ."
She lowered her head.
"That was the opportunity we had been waiting for."

Pastor Silas narrowed his eyes.
"So you have been plotting against this young man since the day he was born?"
Mrs. Naomi nodded.
