As another explosion rung out at one of the buildings on the east side of the city, two streams of light suddenly broke through the thick smoke of clouds, and begun clashing multiple times as Kanzaki and Cuatro fought a high speed battle so intense that the latter actually started to ignore Alice presence.
After all since Kanzaki was able to keep up with her speed for a long time since they fought, Cuatro regarded Kanzaki as a much more dangerous individual than Alice. What's more she wasn't worried that Alice might make a comeback immediately, after all she did break a few bones here and there on her.
So at this point, she must be in a total pain right now, with no way of lending a hand.
For kanzaki on the otherhand, this was a predicament on its own. After all he was being preoccupied by the enemy. His friends were dying all over the place, especially when he heard the coms and received the confirmation of Greg's death.
According to his memory Greg is more like an acquaintance to them as he is more connected to Ryuuji, nevertheless he knew him enough to understand that he is a good man. Such good man was then killed, with no way of retrieving his body. At this point Ryuuji might be devastated.
The same thing could happen to Alice if he doesn't save her on time and patch her up. No matter what, he needed to move faster in order to overwhelm the enemy.
Seeing the movements ahead of time using his chaos ability, Kanzaki swiftly dodged all of Cuatro's combo attacks, before countering back with a sword wave that blasted her back by a few miles and made her crash unto a roof of a building.
Putting more strength on his arms and injecting more mana unto his sword, his black flames surged like a beast, as he slashed it down and completely obliterated the whole rooftop with an explosion.
However his foresight saw something once more as he quickly pulled back his head and dodge Cuatro dash kick that happened in a blink of an eye. This naturally surprised Cuatro as she didn't expect for Kanzaki to even dodge this.
However she quickly spun around mid air, as kicked Kanzaki squarely on his guard and blew him away across the street and crash to the building next to them.
However despite that Kanzaki jumped right back in towards her as he sent multiple attacks, which were either blocked or parried by Cuatro.
This clash continued on for a while as none of them were planning to back down especially since their attacks against each other have not connected at all. This time Cuatro changed her approach as she stomped the ground causingultiple devis to fly up in the air.
From there Cuatro used her speed to blitz all over the place and making sure that Kanzaki wouldn't be able to follow her movements at all. However I'm contrary to what she expects, using his eyes, Kanzaki could follow her movement.
So when Cuatro made her attack all over the place, Kanzaki simply parried all of her attacks which left Cuatro stunned for a moment. Next second Kanzaki blat black flames all over the place, which forced Cuatro to back away, before suddenly Kanzaki decided to rush at her.
Seeing this shocked Cuatro as she immediately changed up her routine and clashed against Kanzaki to the point that there blows literally destroys a building.
But it didn't take long until Cuatro smiled after hearing something through telepathy and finally used both of her hands instead of only using her legs to fight.
First off she blocked Kanzaki's attack with both of her arms, before delivering a kick which sent Kanzaki flying for a few blocks.
After hearing Diez death through telepathy, Cuatro then finally decided to go all out if she doesn't want to end up like Diez.
Not long after a huge and violent mana surged out from her, as cracks formed on the ground beneath her feet, followed by the atmosphere around them to change and chills started running down Kanzaki's spine.
Following that Cuatro's mana begun to rise up like a tower, which destroyed the whole street, followed by the buildings around them to get blown back to the point that they all tilted to the side.
Upon seeing this Kanzaki suddenly foresaw a grim future as he decided to pull out his other sword only to hesitate when he saw a future where his head got blown off.
So foregoing his earlier decision, Kanzaki then suddenly put up his guard, as a force of attack slammed against him, causing him to be pushed back by a few step. The next moment his eyes darted wide open when he suddenly saw a fist coming his way up close to his face, and squarely sent him flying towards the farthest intersection from where he was located.
After sending Kanzaki flying with just one attack, Cuatro finally stepped out of the light as she revealed her whole body encased with white bone like armor from mouth to toe.
Aside from her eyes which were exposed, she had a bone like mask, full body slender armor, and a fully equipped armor on both her arms and legs. From her terminology she calls this her skill "Awekening"
This type of skill didn't actually gave her another power of sort, but rather simply enhanced her already existing power to a whole new level with this awakening skill her punches and kicks became even more lethal against opponents who pushed them this far.
Of course for Kanzaki, such a scene was something to be shocked about, but before he could even react, he suddenly received a message which literally drowned the shole street under his bloodlust.
Not far from him the acquaintance he had made towards the agents from Busan, who even swore to protect this city with their lives. Had met a grim fate, as they were all killed by a single person who attacked the residential area of the city. Argie Franklin aka Undead, had appeared in that vicinity and used his new profound power to massacre everyone in the area.
Naturally among his victims, the agents from Busan were caught up on this and were killed under his power. At the same moment Jinwoo just arrived at the scene and witnessed the massacre himself. At this moment seeing the bodies of his comrades lying on the ground, an immense rage surged out for him to the point that his eyes started to bleed from the blood pressure of his stress and rage.
Argie Franklin had killed far too many good people. Even if Claire doesn't want him dead, such a plea wouldn't be able to stop Jinwoo now that he is drowned in rage.
