Sylvan Cheney didn't speak again.
But Jasmine Yale was overjoyed inside, her smile returning to her face.
The hospital wasn't far from the financial district, and they arrived soon.
"Elder Axel, accompany her," Sylvan Cheney had no intention of getting out of the car.
"Yes, CEO Cheney."
Jasmine Yale was apprehensive; she grabbed the seat and shook her head: "CEO Cheney, come with me, please. The doctors always ask why my husband didn't come. I'm afraid they'll ask again. Please accompany me. Is that okay?"
"You're asking for too much!" Sylvan Cheney was very impatient.
"Just this once, only once, we're already at the hospital." Jasmine Yale looked at him, pleading.
Sylvan Cheney also opened his eyes to look at her, his face as dark as the sky outside.
"CEO Cheney, really, every time I go there, the first thing they ask is, did your husband not come this time? If he doesn't come again, he'll miss important stages of the baby's growth."
