"I hope there won't be a next time." Sylvan Cheney strode towards the elevator.
Jasmine Yale was walking slowly, unable to keep up with him, and she had to gasp while saying, "I know, there won't be a next time, it won't happen again. Can you wait for me? I'm about to fall behind..."
He always walked too fast.
Over these years, it had always been her chasing after him.
Sylvan Cheney suddenly stopped.
Jasmine Yale never anticipated he would halt abruptly to wait for her, accidentally bumping into his tall back and painfully hitting her forehead.
"Are you an idiot?" Sylvan Cheney fumed, turning around.
"I'm not an idiot, I'm Jasmine Yale." Jasmine Yale pouted, giving a cold snort.
Sylvan Cheney's lips twitched as he gazed down at her face.
Jasmine Yale rubbed her forehead, noticing his gaze upon her, and uneasily lifted her head, "What... are you looking at?"
"The scar on your wrist doesn't look like an ordinary scar." Like a knife wound.
