Elder Axel was momentarily puzzled by what Jasmine Yale meant by her words, looking confused: "Huh? Why work hard?"
Jasmine Yale smiled, revealing two shallow dimples: "After working hard, I can afford a car. It's inconvenient to travel with the baby, having a car is better."
Elder Axel first had an epiphany, then asked, "You can drive?"
"Yes, my skills are quite okay."
Elder Axel was silent. It seemed that Jasmine Yale and the boss really didn't have any fate together.
It made sense, the boss liked Jasmine Yale, likely out of novelty. After all, Jasmine Yale had a good personality and was easy to like.
But to say he would marry her... that possibility was almost nonexistent.
No successful young man would want to be a stepfather.
"Next year I should be able to afford a car. Once this project is finished, I can get a bonus," Jasmine Yale calculated, sighing.
"Work hard and you'll have one," Elder Axel said.
"Yes, I will work hard," Jasmine Yale was full of confidence.
