When it got dark, Jasmine Yale was the only one in the room.
Downstairs, Mrs. Connor and Mrs. Kimberley were having dinner together at a restaurant near the hospital. Though they had just met a few days ago, they were already hitting it off.
The restaurant was lively and crowded.
"Hey, Mrs. Connor, I feel that something's not quite right with Mrs. Yale, don't you think?"
"I was just about to mention it to you, but I was afraid you'd think I was being nosy. I feel like she's not very happy; she hardly says a word all day. Normally, pregnant women aren't like this, plus, she's about to have her baby soon!"
"Exactly, becoming a mom should be such a joy, at least it was for me," said Mrs. Kimberley. "But she really doesn't seem that happy, and she said her husband was on a business trip, yet he hasn't called her all day."
"Yes, I also find it odd, but let's keep it to ourselves and not expose her."
