No one knows if it's because she was too tired, but while humming a lullaby, Jasmine Yale dozed off in a daze.
The sound of thunder accompanied by a phone ringing startled her awake!
Jasmine flinched, patted her chest in fright, and walked wearily to the bedside to pick up the phone.
It was the same number from before.
Jasmine hung up.
A message was immediately sent from that number: I'm downstairs at your place.
Jasmine froze, clutching the phone tightly, her fingertips gradually turning white, and her eyes exuded an icy chill, devoid of warmth.
The rain outside continued, the sound of it was loud.
Jasmine bit her lip tight, her gaze carrying a hint of emptiness and another of haze, like a veil of mist under the smoky rain, indistinct and vague.
She clenched her lips and her heart started to race, gripping her phone tightly.
After a long time, she stood up and walked to the balcony.
