Chapter 250 - Merchant chapter 235

"Business is going well." I say calmly. "As a matter of fact I am here today for that exact reason. Through a deal I have promised my customer here that I would get her situated and on her feet here. To this regard she will require a building in Diagon alley under her name to live and work out of. In addition I want to authorize a transfer of funds from my account to a new one under her name that she may access at her leisure. A total sum of fifteen thousand galleons." I said seriously.

"Oh? She must have offered you something quite valuable indeed to warrant such an expenditure of funds." he said curiously.

"The details of our arrangement are private but you could say that yes. Now I need a time frame for everything, I will pay extra for expediency. Up to a fifteen percent total amountage on everything in fact. Twenty if you can have a deed in her hand before the end of day." I say professionally.

He grinned a wide greedy fanged grin "You certainly know how to motivate a goblin Mr. Drake. I imagine you will be at the Cauldron should i need to find you for the final touches?" he asked and I nodded.

"We have some shopping to do first but the rest of the day will be spent at the Leaky cauldron otherwise." I said frankly.

"Excellent. I will begin the work post haste. Not to worry Mr. Drake your money will be put towards the finest building in diagon alley available." he said with a slight bow of his head.

"I will hold you to that." I say flashing out my conquerors haki for an instant to add weight to my words.

"I-I still need the ladies details in order to open an account for her." he said a bit more respectfully and with a hint of fear.

"Salem. Salem Drake" she said earning a sharp look from me.

Ragkog looked between us for a moment before gulping audibly and nodding.

"I will deliver your key with the rest." he said and we left after that.

"Any reason you have chosen to steal my name?" I asked seriously her once we got out of earshot of the bank.

"I require more than just Salem and you are the only tie I hold in this world. It seemed fitting." she said casually.

"Ugh, now everyone who knows about both of us will think you are related to me in some way. And some of those theorized relations are incredibly awkward." I say with a groan of annoyance.

"Good. That will give my appearance an extra level of validity. Anyone who may look into me will mistakenly believe that I am a long lost relative who found you." she said with a satisfied nod.

"You also just painted a massive target on your back. Not that you are actually in any danger mind you but the fact remains. If you had chosen a different name anyone looking to try and get a grip on me for their own purposes would pass you over as a one off customer. But by taking my name there is now an implied relation, a weak point they can target. It's a lie of course and with your power killing or removing them entirely is no problem but it's an extra layer of annoying you've added all the same." I explain.

"Ah, a classic maneuver. If the main target is too prickly you grab a weaker target near it to force compliance. I myself have employed this against Ozma several times." She said amused.

"Right, well whenever someone does come for you make it clean and leave no evidence behind. The local government is incredibly zealous about locking up people for even minor infractions much less murder. Righteous or otherwise." I say shaking my head.

"I will keep that in mind." she said unbothered.

"Hmph, I've done my due diligence warning you. For now we will go and collect the basic supplies you will need to utilize the magic you integrated into yourself. A wand to start." I say as I lead the way to Olivanders.

As we walk in the old man himself is in the process of slotting a box with a wand in it into a shelf. He looks over curiously since he usually doesn't receive students for their first wands for another week yet.

"Ah, Mr. Drake. Grape vine wood with a griffon feather core, ten inches, neutral disposition. I do hope you are not here because your wand has met an accident. Matching you with another partner would prove quite troublesome indeed." he said with a smile.

I flash the wand slipped under the bandages of my left wrist.

"Not to worry. My partner is in good health. I am here to receive a new wand for her actually. She's not a native to this country so you'll not remember her. She wants the full experience." I explain motioning at Salem lightly.

"I see." he said with a bright smile as he got to work measuring her before he dug out a variety of wands to try.
