Being difficult is the only problem they have in Lorius little trick of switcheroo. However there was one little flaw in the switching tactic that they implement and that is Akito himself.
No matter how much Akito regained his stamina and health, it was already quite apparent that he was tired for fighting nonstop against strong opponent's. What's more he is currently somewhat equal against Seol in terms of combat capability but heavily underpowered against Allen.
Only Lorius is the one who kept them at their toes. As long as they exploit that, thy would be able to deal with Akito in the least he expect. However this time Seol has to survive against Lorius as he begun blasting her with spells that she can barely blocks.
"Thunderstrike!!!"
As flashpf lightning descends from above, Seol quickly dashes forward to dodge the attack and quickly deliver a counter towards Lorius. But before she could get close, Lorius would always push her away using an air elemental spell which puts a distance between them.
However despite that Seol was still relentless as she tries to get close towards Lorius despite getting blown over and over again.
In this moment Seol used a chained movement in order to get close to Lorius and somehow catch him by surprise.
"Lightning Movement!!! Void Step!!!"
Upon seeing this, Lorius missed his counter spell, and immediately turned around only to see Seol ready to launch her attack.
"Dragon Thrust!!!"
However before the spear could hit him, Lorius used a martial skill on top of his own magic which enabled him to counter back.
"Seift of Agility!!! (Martial Skill) Swirling Counter!!!"
Just like that he managed to redirect the spears trajectory, while also countering back which squarely hit on Seol's stomachache blasted her towards the rock wall behind her.
After that Lorius got close to her using "Accel + Blink" as he launched another blow which was barely blocked by her spear.
"(Martial Skill) Destruction Fist!!!"
In that one strike the rock behind Seol cracked in multiple lines, as Seol's body screamed in pain from the shockwave of the attack. Soon after she spat out a mouthful of blood, followed by her bone creaking from receiving the blow from Lorius attack.
While Seol was pinned in a dangerous situation, another huge explosion erupted from afar as red hue covered the sky due to Allen's mana. Soon after one after another, huge blast repeatedly erupted non-stop which even made Lorius curious about Akito's situation.
But just as he was about to make the switch, Seol moved to intercept him and prevent him from pulling out Akito from his dangerous situation. After all she believed that Allen could take down Akito.
Just as Seol expected on another area Akito was down on one knee as he felt his whole world spinning from the exhaustion that he was feeling. In fact he was losing strength on his body and he was losing strength on his grip. He was dead tired and mentally exhausted.
No matter what type of sword technique he threw at Allen, his mana alone was so thick and powerful enough to break all of them. At this point none of his attack could reach him at all.
However he refuses to take one knee, as he forced his body to stand up and prepare for the next attack.
Seeing this Allen then simply charged up his mana as he swung it towards Akito as it releases a huge amount of red mana that razed anything that bypasses it.
In response to this Akito stayed calm as he close his eyes and pinpointed the attacks weakness and neutralized it I one swing.
"Tomura's First defensive sword form Tamari Mizu (Still Water)"
After he neutralized that attack, Akito dashed once more using another technique as he closes the distance between them.
"Tomura's Forth Tactical sword form Shōmei byakko (Lightning byako)"
Once he got close, Allen swung out another attack "Grand Cross!!!" In order to deal with Akito. However for some unknown reason his attack had missed. Due to that he suspected that Akito was behind him so he used "Grand Impact!!!" In order to released an attack that covered all 360 degree angle.
Unfortunately this too missed Akito cuasing major confusion Allen's. But the moment he thought of this, a shadow appeared from above as Akito was just above him ready to release his attack.
"Tomura's Fourth offensive sword form 23-Pon no hakai no ken (23 swords of destruction)"
Just like that all 23 sword attacks had hit Allen squarely before Akito chained another attack.
"Tomura's Fifth offensive sword form Nobori ryū (ascending dragon)"
However this time in response Allen countered back which literally decides both of their fates.
"Grand Cross (Final Slash!!!)"
Just like that another towering explosion rung out as the island shook from the impact of the attack.
Soon after rain poured down heavily as a broken blade flew across the sky and fall down stabbing the earth. From these confrontation Akito's sword finally broke, as a huge cut streak across his chest. In fact both Allen and Akito sustained a cut. However Akito's wound was more fatal while Allen's wound was mended by his blood turning crystal which covered up the wound.
Just like that Akito had lost in this confrontation as his eyes became hollow and soon turned into a pair of light signaling his elimination. Just like that Akito was taken out which breaks the balance between both sides.
In fact even Lorius was surprised by the outcome as he thought that Akito could win against Allen. Due to that misjudgement his expectations of having a battle between himself against both Shun and Akito for this year was scratched due tk Akito's elimination.
At the same time with Akito being the last Orbium Academy student standing, his elimination signifies the elimination of Orbium Academy student in this year's competition. This naturally caused numerous students to be in shock but was immediately snapped out of it when they received Akito's battered body on the deck of the cruise ship.
In that moment as if forgetting their adversary, numerous students with healing magic rushed up to him in order to help mend his wounds and save him from death. After all his wounds were just too gruesome. But this wounds just showcased just how much Akito fought trying to survive with just a sword. Nevertheless he earned the respect of various swordsman including Rosalyn who was eliminated earlier and was now spectating the whole fight.
In that moment on the screen of the cruise ship the camera caught Shun murmuring something which made numerous students curious on what he was saying. Nevertheless the next scenario greatly shocked them beyond degree.
Unknown to everyone, Shun had overridden the system in order to just stand a chance in this competition.
