Summer Ford thought to herself that she was Jasper Sheridan's responsibility; wherever he went, she wasn't obliged to accompany him!
However, she knew she couldn't say this outright.
She pulled her head out from his embrace, maintaining a bit of distance between them. After mulling over her words, she said, "I have a lot of work to do at Rousseau."
"Delay it." Ethan Laurent replied to her indifferently with two words.
"I can't delay. It would be a loss for Rousseau. Even if I hand it over to someone else, it will still take several days." Summer Ford said again.
Ethan Laurent looked at her impassively, full of skepticism.

Summer Ford glanced at him subtly, fearing he might bring up more, and seized the chance to dash towards the bathroom while he was momentarily distracted.
