Summer Ford stared at the call log for a moment, and then looked up at him with a somewhat baffled expression.
Was he worried about her, or was it simply because she was with Noah Sinclair?
"Were you inside the entire time?" Ethan Laurent asked coldly again.
His tone was chilly from start to finish, making Summer Ford's whole body feel a bit cold, and she couldn't help but lean back slightly.
Creating some distance between them, she carefully chose her words and awkwardly explained, "Something went wrong when I arrived at noon, and the contract wasn't signed. Snor Fairchild went off to handle things, and I was outside waiting for him for a long time."
Ethan Laurent lightly closed his eyes, supporting himself with one arm beside her, and asked with a blank expression, "Why didn't you leave?"
His question felt nonchalant, as if the matter was of no concern to his interests.
