"Alright, it's done. Rest for a bit." Ethan Laurent released her foot and stood up, observing the surroundings calmly.
He actually wasn't familiar with the environment here. Whenever he visited with Caleb Sterling, they were always inside the villa, and he didn't know the specifics of the area below the slope.
It was pitch black around, they couldn't even see the road.
"It seems we'll have to spend the night here." Ethan tilted his head, giving her a sidelong glance. Even though they'd fallen to the bottom of the slope, his mood seemed surprisingly good.
"Mm." Summer Ford adjusted her ankle and rubbed her arms.
The dew on the mountain was heavy, she seemed quite cold, rubbing her arms constantly and blowing warm breath onto them, looking quite pitiful.
A twitch appeared in Ethan's cheek as he gathered a pile of dry branches nearby, lighting them at the spot she was sitting. He then sat on the other side of the fire and waved her over, "Come here!"
