The cruise continued to sail on the sea.
The destination was the coast where they would meet the Milton Family, the place where Caleb Sterling had arranged to negotiate.
When Cici walked up with a tray, Ethan Laurent was dining.
Caleb Sterling sat expressionlessly in his chair, arms crossed over his chest, and hadn't touched anything, as if he was waiting specifically for her to come up.
"The butler asked me to bring this up," Cici said, bringing the snacks over to them, taking the small dishes from the tray, placing them on the dining table one by one.
Caleb Sterling watched her face intently, his expression unreadable.
The chill on his face hadn't dissipated, seemingly sparked by her earlier words.
Cici acted like she didn't notice, quietly helping the two of them arrange the food on the table. She intended to quietly step aside, but was stopped by Caleb Sterling again, "Stop!"
His cold, heavy voice, thin and clear like a chilly mist, carried no hint of emotion.
