"What are you looking at?" She walked a few steps toward him and sat down on the chair opposite.
Ethan Laurent didn't show her the newspaper. His face dark, he crumpled it a few times into a ball and tossed it straight into the trash can beside him.
"Where did you go after that yesterday?" Staring at her with a blank expression, he questioned her coldly.
They'd run into so many reporters yesterday. Seeing his face looking off, Summer Ford thought for a second and knew it had to be yesterday's incident hitting the papers.
But she didn't know what kind of photos the reporters had taken, or whether they'd write some wildly exaggerated nonsense.
So she had no way of guessing what Ethan Laurent was feeling right now.
But her personality was: if you've done nothing wrong, you've got nothing to fear.
She didn't feel guilty.
"I only went to school. I didn't expect Mr. Lennox to be there too." Summer Ford stared at him calmly for a while as she explained.
