"Yes." Summer Ford nodded at her.
"Let's have dinner!" Esther Shaw helped her with more food.
Summer Ford lowered her head. The food tasted good, but thinking of Enzo Laurent's words made her feel uneasy.
Since Ethan Laurent saw her come out of the room, he had been watching her discreetly. However, Summer Ford behaved indifferently from beginning to end, revealing nothing.
A large group of people were still dining.
Midway through the meal, Enzo Laurent came out of the room.
His eyes met Summer Ford's briefly; his gaze was obscure, too obscure for her to interpret.
"Dad, you're here!" Esther Shaw greeted him.
Enzo Laurent merely acknowledged with a faint "Hmm," pulled out his chair, and sat down.
No more words were spoken throughout dinner.
After dinner, while Summer Ford was casually walking in the garden, she ran into him again.
Her steps paused slightly, and she was mildly surprised, but she didn't avoid him.
Enzo Laurent cast her a faint glance and sighed.
