After leaving Nara, Luo Su was calm all the way, just staring out the window.
Huai Shi knew he was not feeling well, but he didn't say anything, even when Luo Su occasionally had unreasonable demands like wanting eel rice in the middle of nowhere, Huai Shi would pinch his nose and accommodate him.
Yet he could feel the Sorrow surging like tides beneath this man's calm exterior...
"Don't be sad," Huai Shi comforted, "There's always regret."
"It's nothing, I'm not sad."
Luo Su looked up and revealed a weary smile, "See how happy I am."
Huai Shi shook his head, sighed, and stopped talking.
Unexpectedly, the death of an old friend had such a huge impact on him.
Perhaps even someone as infuriating as Luo Su would have soft spots deep inside, right?
He pressed the accelerator and continued forward.
"Ah, winter has come."
Luo Su stared at the snowflakes outside the car window and muttered, "How wonderful it would be if we could ski."
