Initially, only one snake team activated the automatic control and retreated back into the dome.
But as soon as Sam arrived, the first thing he did was to tap on the remaining five snakes. Just a couple of clicks from the crystal table and all five snakes stopped moving. The teams within it disappeared and reappeared inside the dome, near Sam.
The snakes all went into automatic control. Or rather semi-automatic control to be precise. They are taking remote orders from Sam and are executing those orders by themselves.
And the first order is simple.
"Devour and Grow."
All snakes gave out a rattling sound, yet they didn't have rattles on their tails. The sound came from the crackling bones that made up their bodies. The same bodies that glowed with immense energy as they moved.
Energy blasts charged in all directions. But they were not as big or massive like before. They were precise, thin, small. Like bullets.
