Noamer!

*************************************************

Dana felt like she was stuck in a bad dream with the distinction of those mad eyes an assurety that the bad dream was about to become one unending nightmare. She was getting tired of always having to fight, she didn't remember the last time she had something she could call 'God Given' like those people who were destined to a much peaceful life than hers. When was all this going to end! She inwardly groaned in exasperation as she realised she had to fight yet another night in order to live to see the next day.

"Now is not the time nor the place Rudrik. Don't you already know that?" the old man gave the maniac one last chance to rethreat without severe consequences but he sneered in retaliation.

"Do you think you stand a chance against me? Do you fancy yourself invincible even to me? Your pride is going to bring about your downfall just now" Rudrik rubbed his stub as if in deep contemplation before he suddenly blurted "come to me" his voice a command, leaving no room for doubt and second thoughts.

They were all thinking of what sort of dirty and vile trick he was going to pull on them when Dana suddenly felt the ground move beneath her.

"..."

Her mind screamed 'What The F*ck! as she lowered her gaze to find her feet moving one step infront of the other, towards Rudrik.

She felt her mind go blank from this sudden sneaky attack on her mental barriers. How could she even dream of saving Sasha when couldn't even stop her own damn feet from moving on the command of someone other than her.

"Stop" she mumbled softly... to her utter surprise! What was happening to her? She whipped her head up in time to see the triumphant smile on the man's face and she shot piercing glares at him but even that couldn't seem to faze him one bit. He seemed quite amused with the progression of things, It was clear to see that he had already layed out a plan of action wth a contingency plan intact for pop ups like them.

That's right!

He knew that Sasha can bunk this mission so it was nothing less than a test to him. This was all a game to him! This realization angered Dana even more and she didn't think she could possibly get angrier than she already was until...

"It must be a little frustrating to lose control, isn't it pumpkin? Knowing the possibilities are endless, not being sure if anything is real at all?" She knew he was taunting her but she couldn't help letting all the sh*t he was sprouting get to her head and when she started imagining the worst case scenario, her mind just went dark! Who would still turn down a shrink after seeing the man's sudden sinister grin widen like he was some sort of possessed recipient to dark magic in Truth or Dare. Another cold shiver ran down the length of her spine.

"Tell me again, why do you need a fortune teller when humans are this fragile anyway?" he scoffed as if the mere thought was beyond ridiculous, " letting you in on such an insignificant secret makes you tremble and yet you still stand defiant, hoping to salvage all humanity!" he mocked her again, his voice laced with mocking pity. His arrogance knew no boundaries!

What made it even worse was the fact that he was sprputing her worst fears, the very same question that haunted her asd from dusk to dawn and vise versa. Who told him to be so ruthless? She wasn't even talking back in her defense but he still kept on prodding her miserable skull.

She screamed in her head for something... anything!

She felt something otherworldly cold touching her face and felt all the hairs on her skin stand in attention.

How the f*ck is she supposed to save Sasha?

Her mind insisted on wanting to find a way out for her dear Sasha, oblivious to her own dilemma. This was one of Dana's traits that made her both the strongest as well as an easy target and you can forget holding your breath because Rudrik knew this fatal point.

"You can just give in, allow me to guide you to the truth... your own truth" he paused as if a brilliant idea just struck him out of nowhere but the truth was far from the law of surprise " when was the last time you did something because of the knowledge that the posibilities in this world are endless huh? Look me in the eye and tell me you dont see it... that you don't feel it" she felt that tingly sensation down her spine as if his words resonated with something inside her that she couldn't quite pinpoint. She frowned as if trying to swat an annoyingly persistent fly from getting too close to her face.

"You are always told to choose from a narrow spectrum of choices but with me, you get to drop the restrictions and just let your chaos loose. You don't need to think too hard about any decision you make... no rules! When was the last time you were even allowed to be with your family?" he asked accusingly, his piercing eyes gauging her reaction to every word he said. "Do you even know why? Were you made aware of your identity? Your capabilities? Yet here you are, willing to fight till the death, why? It's all unnecessary when you really think about it. They only fear what they don't understand Princess... do you know what will happen once you have saved their kind? Let me save you from straining that nerve thinking about it, they will demonize you and then discard you" he said glaring directly in the direction of the old man which made her question if that was the story of his own life but his eyes looked blank, devoid of any human emotion as if he was nothing more than part of the nature surrounding them. She couldn't conclude anything from his body language either so her mind began redirection to a safer route... taking the safest bet.

"Using such humongous amount of magic can be thrilling especially after seeing how much that sacrifice is worth when you look all around you but that is only until you start looking into the eyes of the very same people you sacrificed yourself to save... it's only then that you realise, its not worth it, that they are all not worth it!"

His words reverberated with her entire being, her soul bled at this cruel revelation while a small part of her felt sorry for him.

"Magic takes something from all of us, what remains behind after its taken its portion is something that will have you shunned and abominable to humankind"
