After half a day of exploring the town and getting what news they could, the squad met back up in an inn that was found near the border of town to share what they got. New worlds always had their problems to look out for but there was nothing out of the normal for them.
Rak started with what he found exploring the local markets, telling them of the low-quality magic ore and other sub-par materials he found. With technology being as low as it is, and not much in the way for resources this world was set for straight failure without any help coming their way. The best weapons made with what he found could probably hurt the lower level demons, but only if they were handled by someone with power equal to his team.
The rest of the team found out the same information, the state of affairs, the borders for kingdoms, and how well off some territories are. The only major source of news was something that Face was able to dig up flirting with some woman from the local mercenary guild, news about the city of Troya.
It seemed Troya was only recently built, roughly 80 years or so. Built past the great divide that Fort Bastion was build in the middle of and the only town in demon territory. Despite not believing in demons for so long the people of this world still feared what was on the other side of the pass and only recently decided to venture past. Troya sent messengers now and then to tell Recktor if any discovery had been made exploring the northern territory. Which is what the guard captain thought Rak's group was there to do.
Among other info was the strength level of this world compared to them. Among classification standards, a D-rank world was average monsters and maybe some demons with power at the average of a gorilla's strength and a demon lord just barely stronger, a well-placed bullet could even end these. C-rank is when magic would be introduced and they could be slightly stronger than D-rank, guns hardly had an effect and only magic spells and powerful blows could work unless weapons were made of certain metals.
A and B-rank worlds were what would be seen as the real starting point for a true hero. Only people who have awaked their powers from trials and tribulations could start working on conquering a world of this level. Magic is rampant, demons are extremely aggressive and humans are just food to these monsters without any help. But they are given that help in the form of rare magic materials such as Orichalcum and Mithril, which is what Rak's spikes are made up of as well as Face's weapons and Larry's bullets.
S-rank worlds are not just a classification for the next level. A world with this rank is what was found that caused the formation of the hero organization that they worked for. An Imp or lesser demon from this world can beat the demon king of at least a B-rank world and can cause the end of days if let loose somewhere. These worlds are almost always already conquered by demons and humans are non-existent or are enslaved with nothing but pain ahead for them.
With this world in mind, they could all only collectively shake their heads at the strength this world holds. As far as the power humans hold in this world it was close to a C-rank and had the materials of a B-rank but stood little in the way of any help against what they are currently up against.
If they are to help the Gods get their power back and stop these demons then they need to enlist help from other people who have made these contracts and shore them up. This would be the only way forward and the next step of their plan.
Before the sun rose over the city a man came running to the inn that they stayed at and demanded to meet them. After they came to see him they were informed that they needed to meet Recktor right away as he had gotten news from the scout he sent to Troya about their news and it seemed they found nothing but the bad kind.
Making their way to the tall castle-like building in the middle of town before people awoke and the city came to life made it feel like a war was coming and they did not even know of what they were going to hear. But any feeling they had was saying the same thing, and that is the demons are coming ever closer.
