Lex sat in a coffee shop in metropolis sipping away at an expresso. It wasn't too long before a blonde haired spandex wearing trickshot hitting businessman stood across from him.
"Oliver," Lex nodded placing his cup down.
"Well you wanted to talk Lex, let's talk." Taking off his overcoat Oliver placed it on the back of his chair before sitting down.
"Well I guess I better cut to the chase then," Lex smirked. "You talked about becoming a better person and how it didn't seem like I was doing so."
"That doesn't seem like cutting to the chase," Oliver interlocked his fingers as he looked at Lex.
"What I'm saying is that looks can be deceiving, I may seem like the same Lex hell bent on destroying my father and anyone that stands against me but that's only a part of who I am."
"What are you trying to say Lex," Oliver asked full of impatience.
"Look at these papers," Reaching to his side Lex picked up a folder sliding it over to Oliver.
"This is a non-disclosure agreement, you want to partner with Queen industries?" Oliver looked over the files a hint of amusement in his eyes.
"I think you're going to want to partner with Luthor Corp once you heard what I have to say, but first-"
"I'll have to sign the Nda." Oliver completed his sentence as he began to think about his options. "Alright color me intrigued, Pen?"
Reaching into his coat pocket Lex handed over a black and purple pen with the words Luthor corp written on it. Once the NDA was signed Lex visibly relaxed.
"So what's so important that I needed to sign an NDA?"
"I don't know what your satellites picked up during dark thursday but I can guess. A man that looked exactly like me using unnatural abilities to destroy and cause havoc in metropolis. That sound about right?" Lex asked taking another sip of his expresso.
"Are you saying that person wasn't you? I guess it would make sense after I watched you fall unconscious from hitting your head just a week or two ago." Oliver nodded a couple times connecting the dots in his own head.
"No it was my body but it wasn't me, have your people dig up whatever information you can on a guy by the name of Milton Fine and you'll understand. Professor appears out of nowhere weasels his way into my life, I'm sure you've heard the rumor about aliens crash landing in Smallville. That wasn't a rumor."
"Aliens?" Oliver almost burst out laughing at the thought. He has seen crazy things even after dark thursday and had never considered aliens.
"I have the research and evidence to prove it but that's not the point. Milton Fine used me as a vessel for a guy by the name of Zod to descend into my body. It was Zod that inhabited my body on dark thursday. You had me kidnapped a week after that day and i'm sure that guy must have sent you the information about my body."
"Completely regular, no supernatural durability or strength for that matter just regular old Lex." Oliver hated the fact that the guy had gone rogue but he had gotten the job done.
"So you admit it?" Lex asked.
"If we're both spilling secrets why not?" Oliver shrugged raising one finger he stood walking over to the cashier and grabbing a coffee of his own.
Once he sat down Lex continued, "Besides all of that I've been able to receive a message from the thing Zod used to emp the world. He's coming back and when he does, he''ll be in his own body."
"So that's what you've been doing all this time, preparing for the return of Zod?" Oliver looked Lex up and down before making a decision. "Aren't you skipping a few levels? This Zod guy seems like the final boss. You can't deal with something like Zod when you're unaware of what's going on in your own backyard. Handle the corruption within LuthorCorp and I'll consider partnering with you."
"If you're talking about my father I can assure you he's already been placed on a tight leash," Lex leaned forward grabbing the contents of the folder placing them back into it.
"Lionel Luthor has so many secrets that his secrets have secrets, but I'm sure you're aware of that already. Let's set up a formal meeting, we'll draw up the papers then." Oliver stood from his seat exiting the coffee shop.
Lex watched him leave knowing that Oliver was right. His father was too resourceful, although at this point in time it didn't seem like he was planning a coup who knew what would happen next.
