When she spoke these words, she appeared so fragile, as if she might vanish into thin air the next moment. How much pain had that small body endured? Yet, no matter how much sorrow she contained, she always gave others a smile.
The reason she climbed so high was merely trying to reclaim some of those memories, when her mom held her high and sang. But she knew that those days could never return.
She knew that her mom was never truly happy; she knew her mom loved her; she knew that each time her mom was sober, she felt immense pain and regret—she would hold her and cry, apologizing...
She was so helpless and sorrowful...
Unfortunately, at that time she was still too young and not brave enough.
She kept thinking, if she could have tried a bit harder and not always backed down and given up out of fear, perhaps her mom might have gotten better. She wouldn't have worsened or committed suicide due to severe depression.
