Shi Mei walked up to her, hooked her chin with his hand, and said in a deep voice, "With your eloquence, you could become a seasoned Debater, rather than settling for a law firm."
Shi Keke pushed his hand away and smiled nonchalantly, "Becoming a Debater isn't a bad idea. If I ever can't make it in the legal field, I'll do just as you said and switch to being a Debater."
Shi Mei gave her a cold glance and said nothing.
Shi Keke had no intention to continue the conversation and glanced at the clock hanging on the wall; it was exactly six o'clock.
She walked to the window and drew the curtains. The sky outside was still somewhat gloomy, with thick fog hanging in midair, enveloping the entire estate and lending it a mysterious air.
This was Shi Keke's first visit here.
Shi Mei had only bought this private residence less than a month ago and seldom came here due to its distance from the city. Thus, he only stayed over occasionally after going out to sea.
