Su Jiuyi turned her head away and didn't eat.
"I'm not working with him." He explained.
Upon hearing this, Su Jiuyi turned back and started eating.
The change in mood was a bit too fast.
She was truly hungry and took a big bite, savoring it carefully. The taste was indeed good, better than anything she had eaten before, but it seemed to lack the flavor of happiness.
"Can you taste the happiness?" She asked with her mouth full, speaking a bit unclearly.
Shi Aoju smiled, his eyes deep and captivating, enough to draw someone in. Su Jiuyi was so entranced that she temporarily forgot she was still eating.
Shi Aoju called her a "fool" and then raised his hand to wipe the crumbs from the corner of her mouth.
Su Jiuyi kind of understood.
The so-called happiness was not about the taste but about sharing pizza with someone you like.
