The creature attempted to throw him off.
Alex moved before the motion could finish.
He sprinted along its back, firing at the glowing lines between its armor plates. Each shot struck a vulnerable seam, forcing the Behemoth to shift its concentration between controlling gravity and protecting its body.
Below, Saeko understood the opportunity.
She drove her katana into the ground.
Wind gathered around her feet, spiraling upward until her entire body was surrounded by a rapidly rotating current. The air above the valley began to move in a broad circle, pulling dust and fragments of debris into a rising vortex.
She stepped forward.
The vortex followed.
Her next swing released a compressed blade of wind that swept across the Behemoth's front leg.
The creature's armor cracked.
Its footing faltered.
Alex leaped from its back just as the Behemoth slammed its body against the ground.
He landed beside Saeko.
