Chapter 24: War on Plum Blossom Peak – Crimson Demons Rise

Dawn painted Plum Blossom Peak in soft rose and gold. The eternal plum trees swayed gently, petals drifting like pink snow across jade paths and open pavilions. For the first time in weeks, the mountain felt truly at peace—no rival challenges, no jealous whispers, only the quiet rhythm of cultivation and family.

Zain lay on his back in the Sovereign Pavilion's wide bed, one arm curled possessively around Hinata. She slept curled against his chest, dark hair spilling across his skin like silk, her breathing slow and content. The sheet had slipped low, revealing the elegant curve of her shoulder and the faint lavender glow of their shared qi still faintly pulsing beneath her skin from last night's union.

He brushed a stray petal from her cheek and smiled—soft, private, the kind of smile no one else in any world ever saw. "Best morning in any realm," he whispered, echoing his words from the day before.

Hinata stirred, lavender eyes fluttering open. A shy, radiant smile curved her lips as she tilted her face up to kiss him. The kiss was slow, lingering, full of the new depth they had found in each other. Her fingers traced lazy patterns across his chest, rainbow threads of his qi answering her touch like living light.

"Morning, my Sovereign," she murmured against his mouth, voice husky with sleep and affection.

Before Zain could pull her closer for more, a deafening alarm shattered the peace.

BOOM—BOOM—BOOM!

The emergency sect bells rang across every peak—deep, urgent, laced with killing intent. Crimson warning talismans ignited in the sky above Misty Cloud Sect, spelling out a single warning in blood-red characters:

CRIMSON DEMON INVASION — ALL PEAKS DEFEND!

The ground trembled. Distant explosions rolled like thunder from the lower valleys. Black-red qi clouds boiled up from the horizon, swallowing the morning light.

Zain was on his feet in an instant, robes materializing around him in a swirl of rainbow qi. Hinata moved just as fast, white-and-lavender combat robes forming as she activated her Byakugan—veins bulging around her eyes, Gentle Prism Heart already flaring.

"Demonic cultivators," Zain said grimly, grin sharpening into something fierce. "They picked the wrong morning."

The team converged in the central courtyard within seconds.

Toren slammed his palms down—massive earth fortifications rising around the sky bridge in seconds. "They're hitting the main gates first—thousands of them!"

Lirael's frost mirrors bloomed across the peak, each one showing live reflections of the chaos below. "Crimson Demon Sect. They've allied with traitors inside Azure Flame Pavilion. Huo Yan's father is leading the betrayal."

The five First Blossoms arrived ready—eyes wide but determined.

Zain's voice cut through the tension, bright and steady. "Plum Blossom doesn't run. We hold this peak. We protect the sect. We bloom through the storm. Hinata—stay with me. Toren—anchor the bridge. Lirael—crowd control. First Blossoms—support and flank. Let's show them what real harmony looks like!"

They moved like lightning.

The first wave hit the sky bridge like a crimson tide.

Hundreds of black-robed demonic cultivators swarmed upward, blood-red qi blades screaming through the air, demonic beasts—massive crimson wolves with flaming eyes—leaping ahead.

Toren roared and stomped. The bridge became a fortress—earth spikes erupting, crushing the front line. Jian Wei reinforced instantly, his earth-body merging with Toren's formation to create an unbreakable wall.

Lirael danced forward. "Frost Spirit Domain!" Ice mirrors exploded outward, multiplying into hundreds. Clones of pure frost charged the wolves, freezing them mid-leap before shattering them into glittering shards.

Xiao Yun and Lian Xue struck from the flanks—lightning-laced ice storms ripping through the demonic ranks, bodies freezing then exploding in electric bursts.

Mei Lin wove healing flames through the team while launching fire lotus barrages that burned demonic qi away like paper.

Little Ruo Lan stood at the center, pure qi radiating outward—boosting everyone's stamina, closing wounds in real time.

But the real threat came from above.

Elder Huo Feng—now revealed as a Crimson Demon spy—descended on a blood-red sword, late Nascent Soul aura blazing like hellfire. Behind him: three demonic elders, each at peak Core Formation, and a swarm of elite assassins.

Huo Feng laughed cruelly. "The rainbow freak thinks he can defy the Crimson Demon Sect? I'll paint your precious peak red with your blood!"

Zain stepped forward, Hinata at his side.

"Big words for a traitor who lost to kindness once," Zain called cheerfully. "Want a rematch?"

Huo Feng snarled and thrust his palm downward.

Crimson Blood Dragon Palm!

A colossal blood-red dragon roared toward them, carrying the weight of a mountain.

Zain and Hinata moved as one.

"Lotus Prism Harmony!"

Their qi fused instantly—lavender and rainbow threads exploding into a massive blooming lotus shield. The dragon slammed into it… and was absorbed. The petals spun faster and faster, converting demonic blood qi into pure, radiant power.

Hinata's eyes glowed. "Now!"

They unleashed it together.

The lotus detonated outward in a storm of prism-lavender petals—each one slicing through demonic assassins like paper, sealing meridians on contact, healing allies mid-flight. Dozens of enemies dropped, screaming as their demonic cultivation collapsed.

Huo Feng roared in fury and charged personally—blood sword blazing.

Zain met him head-on.

Their clash shook the entire peak.

Fists and palms blurred—rainbow vs. crimson. Every strike sent shockwaves that cracked stone. Zain fought with his usual playful grace, dodging and countering, but his eyes were serious now.

Hinata flanked—Gentle Prism Fist striking Huo Feng's side in a devastating series of 64 palms. Each hit sealed demonic meridians while flooding them with purifying rainbow qi.

The traitor elder staggered.

Zain saw the opening.

He planted his feet.

"Eternal Prism Sovereign — Second Ascension!"

Rainbow light erupted from his body like a sun. The qi around him condensed violently—Nascent Soul breakthrough triggered mid-battle by the sheer pressure and the bond with Hinata.

A miniature rainbow sun bloomed above his head.

He thrust both palms forward.

Prism Sovereign Judgment!

A beam of pure multicolored light—every system he had ever fused—lanced forward. It pierced Huo Feng's chest, purifying the demonic corruption in an instant. The traitor screamed once… then dissolved into harmless golden motes, his cultivation scattered to the winds.

The remaining demonic elders faltered.

The First Blossoms and the rest of the team pressed the advantage—coordinated strikes driving the invaders back down the mountain.

When the last crimson-robed figure fled into the clouds, the alarm bells finally fell silent.

Plum Blossom Peak stood victorious—battered, scorched in places, but blooming brighter than ever.

Zain stood at the edge of the sky bridge, breathing hard, rainbow qi still flickering around him. Nascent Soul realm achieved.

Hinata stepped to his side, slipping her hand into his.

"You did it," she whispered, eyes shining with pride and love.

"We did it," he corrected, pulling her close. "All of us."

The system chimed triumphantly for the entire team:

As the sun rose higher, bathing the peak in golden light, Zain looked at his family—Hinata's gentle strength, Lirael's quiet power, Toren's solid loyalty, and five young disciples who had fought like veterans.

He grinned—bright, unstoppable, the same Kot Addu sunshine boy at heart.

"Round one to us. Now… who wants jalebi? We earned it."

The team laughed—tired, bruised, but alive and together.

The war was far from over.

But Plum Blossom had just shown the entire cultivation world what true strength looked like.

Gentle.

United.

Unbreakable.

And the multiverse was watching.
