At the time, they were unaware that someone else had received the same note. However, following Bai Haozheng's earlier example, neither of them dared to neglect the task. They immediately started cleaning anything in their rooms that could be considered a door: bedroom doors, bathroom doors, cabinet doors, and even the inside and outside of their entry doors.
